Antique Door & Hardware

We bought all our hardware from this company many years ago. We needed a part for our hinge and just discovered NOW what they sold us was not what we got. We paid for Baldwin but got some cheap version that is losing its finish. Very rude on the phone and will not take any responsibility

I am very dissatisfied with the services done by ADH. They sold me a defective lock and I was not refunded for the payment at all. I therefore had to buy a new lock from another company. The staff and manager were extremely rude and unprofessional to me, and I would never recommend them to anyone, AVOID.

Antique Door is a fantastic find for all your door hardware. Recomended to us by an interior designer after we were scouring Toronto for modern door hardware...Yes Modern Hardware at Antique Door, who would have thought,,,but they have it all, great selection of everything you would need. I think it's the best selection in Toronto and the staff there are great..even gave us a few extra key cuts and a nice discount. Highly recommended

I was writing another review and discovered this 4 year old review was never submitted but after reading it again, it is still upsetting how awful the service was a this company.

A friend of mine suggested a sliding door track for a doorway I was trying to find a solution for. Since Antique Door and Hardware was close to our home, I called and described what we were looking for. The person told me they do sell these systems but they were thousands of dollars and I would have to call back to get more information. I then talked to my friend and he told me that the track systems were made by KN Crowder and the one I wanted was between $300 and $500. I called KN Crowder and they told me to call Antique Door and Hardware.

I called ADH on several occasions and they kept on telling me to call back when the fellow who knew about them would be in. Finally, I went into their store and the people behind the desk could not find the KN Crowder catalogue and told me to come back later. I went online at home to find the parts and went back to the store. They told me to come back later when they found the catalogue (they said they had one but could not find it) so I could order the part. I called back on 4 occasions and left messages. I also went down to the store again on a Saturday but they were closed (because they are closed on Saturdays for a month in the summer). I also e-mailed the contact person on 2 occasions and then I called again. When I finally spoke to the person he rudely told me he had e-mailed me back (I checked and never did get an e-mail from him). I ordered the part and it took several weeks, phone calls and e-mails to get the part (after they told me it would be a few days and they would contact me when it arrived). I finally picked up the part, had it installed and it worked fine.

We had a major kitchen and bathrooms renovation a while back and our contractor sent us to Antique Door and Hardware for all of our fixtures. A difficult task was made easy, thanks to the excellent advice and help we had from Louie and his staff. Best of all, the quality has proven to be excellent - we have had no problems at all!
