Advanced Plumbing

A leak had developed in our kitchen ceiling as a result of some problem in the shower/tub area above. AP sent George Tsakopoulos on time for our morning appointment. We agreed with George that it was best to cut out the damaged section of the ceiling for a proper look (the plaster/lathe had flaked badly anyway). George spotted several issues from this vantage point and after replacing the overflow cover, caulking a crack line along the shower tile, installing a new pipe and making adjustments to all valves, the problem seems to have stopped. He placed an access panel in the kitchen ceiling hole which actually doesn't look bad at all-we'll stick with it for the time being. Since we were going to bring in a plumber we also had him install a new bathroom sink faucet which has been a big upgrade from what we had before. The price for everything seemed reasonable for the work done. Happy to recommend George and AP.

Greg and his team helped us replace our drains about a year ago. Recently we were worried that perhaps we were having some drain issues again and called Greg. Greg responded within the day and got a plumber out immediately to help us investigate the issue. It ended up being nothing and everything was resolved. What I was the most impressed with was Greg's great customer service - promptly responding and sending out someone to look into our concerns. Thank you Advanced Plumbing.

Your person was magnificent -- ultra-competent, polite, very matter-of-fact. He told us what needed to be done (very little) and made no attempt to persuade us to do unnecessary work. That's unusual these days.

Bathtub drain was clogged. Very quick, efficient, friendly service. Came on a Saturday within about an hour.

Let me be blunt - these guys are amazing! To be more specific, we recently moved to a house from a condo, and of course the range of experiences these two worlds offer are very different. A few days after the move, our main drain pipe got clogged. Unlike other companies we called, AP came immediately and their service was outstanding in all respects: snaked, did the camera to view the extent of the issue, explained everything very professionally, answered questions patiently and thoughtfully...

Unfortunately for us, the problem is rather substantial and the main drain pipe (clay) has to be replaced, but AP has provided a very attractive quote, and, not less importantly, they are going to start off right away, and, we are sure, they will complete the work to the highest possible standards.

On a Thursday afternoon, our tenant made us aware that there was sewage back up and flooding in the basement. Greg from Advanced Plumbing was the first to respond to my service request (within the next minute!) and was able to arrange a plumber to make it out on Friday and proposed work start on Monday once the parts were ordered.

Lucky for my tenants and I, Greg went the extra mile to find a pump on Saturday and have the work done by lunchtime!

I only have good things to say about Advanced Plumbing. They were incredibly fast and responsive, went above and beyond to get the job done quickly and kept us informed every step of the way. I will definitely be going to them first the next time I have a plumbing issue.

When I called Advanced Plumbing I explained the general issue I was experiencing and they immediately diagnosed the problem (a malfunctioning thermal expansion tank). I called late in the afternoon but they were able to schedule me early for the next day. George showed up on time and I showed him the situation and explained the details to him, and he answered all of my questions, including a few about unrelated plumbing issues. Before beginning any work he explained the price to me and after we discussed how to proceed, he set about fixing the problem diligently, installing a larger thermal expansion tank, making sure the pressure was set correctly, building a mounting solution to support its weight, and then testing the result to make sure it worked. He was able to resolve a problem in only a few hours that I had had for over a month, and stayed to make sure that everything was working correctly before he left. His work was tidy, efficient, and most importantly, effective. I would definitely recommend Advanced Plumbing for your plumbing needs, from beginning to end they were pleasant, helpful, clear, prompt, and professional.

We had a tricky existing kitchen faucet and needed a shower bar (which came out of the tile) replaced. They offered to come by and provide a free estimate. George looked at the hardware we purchased and ensure compatibility (with some caveats). I was able to book an appointment the next day.

He was also able to fix two running toilets with new hardware he had on hand. Further, George offered to dispose of our old hardware and was very professional and tidy. Friendly service from George and the administrative staff.

We are pleased to have found a great plumber in our neighbourhood!
