A1 Air Conditioning is amazing!

When it comes to sales and service, they are second to none. After shopping around, we quickly learned the A1 difference! Quality, Service and Installation are very important to us and they made the entire process easy. I have to say our experience with everyone involved from start to finish was exceptional. From Andrew who helped us navigate the decision process to the installation team (Dale, Natalie and Angad), they exceeded all our expectations and attention to detail was incredible! I Can't say enough great things about A1 and their team of professionals!

A1 never asked me to write a review, but I have been their customer for over 10 years. They installed a new furnace and an air conditioner unit and signed me up for a 10 year maintenance plan. They came promptly when two years ago, my furnace would not go above 21 degrees and the house felt cold. The technician spent a lot of time figuring it out but he did! A few months ago, I had A1 install a tank less water heater. There were a few glitches in the beginning, but they came promptly to fix it. And once I accidentally learned that they also do duct cleaning, I got them for that service as well.

I don’t recommend this company.
My AC has noisy at startup, the technician diagnosed the capacitor was old, he suggested to replace the new one, it’s $288 plus taxes, diagnose fee was $130 plus tax.
The AC machine is still noisy as before, that’s wrong diagnose, wasted me over $288.

Installed the air conditioner in 2006 when I bought the home. Very pleased with annual maintenance check by Mike. He is very professional and I have confidence and trust in his evaluation of the unit and his recommendations.

All work was completed in less than 8 hours by 2 servicemen. The workplace after this installation was cleaner than it had been before this job.

Kyle, the Technician was on time, neat, friendly, and very professional. He provided me with options regarding the service we needed and answered all of my questions. I would not hesitate to contact A1 again.

This is the third time my family has dealt with A1 over the last 30 years.

No high pressure sales yet offered competitive pricing. Installation team was timely, considerate and most importantly, did an excellent and neat job installing the equipment in tight quarters in an older home.

Being an engineer and having actually helped a friend install a gas furnace, I have an idea of what it all entails.

New equipment is so much quieter than the existing and I hope the quality matches that of the workmanship.

Removed, installed, and returned water heater to rental company. Laid protective mats on floor. Caused no damage to walls during removal. Answered all questions pertaining to operation of water heater. Have and will again use A1 for our future heating and cooling needs.

Sunday night I returned home and noticed that the house was cold. I checked the thermostat and it was set at 22C, but the temperature was 14C. Something was wrong, so I checked the furnace. The pilot light was out and I could not re-light it. At 5:15 PM I phoned their repair centre. Within 10 minutes, Kyle phoned me back and promised that he would arrive around 7:00PM. At 7:30 PM Kyle showed up and quickly determined that the thermocouple was not working. Fortunately he had one in his truck which he immediately installed. The furnace fired up and all was well.

I then asked if he could install a digital thermostat in place of my old analog unit that was probably older than him. Once again, no problem as he had one in his truck. The installed cost of the new unit was $275 which I felt was reasonable.

Kyle was a real gentleman and a pleasure to work with.

Would I use A1 Air Conditioning again? Absolutely. They are my regular heating maintenance provider and I am very happy with them.

We have been clients of A1 for heating and air conditioning for years but I just discovered they do duct cleaning too. A very pleasant man came and did the work with great efficiency and leaving no mess at all. He showed me that the previous times it had not been done as completely as they would do it. I now feel that for the first time in decades there is more chance for clean air within the house.
