Below average hardwood flooring work. Below average stair work. Veneer paper used for stair siding. I was told thats the industry standard. From time to time I was told not sure how its done in my country but thats how its done. I Was promised it will be done in 4 days but done in 6 days. Portion of basement 1/4 round of different colour. Tried to convince Paul that its a different colour but in vain. I would suggest if you could please get some other contractor. After three years the hardwood floor is shifting apart like Lego pieces. Must not hire this company.

Approximate cost of services:
$4,440.00

Here at Petra Renovation we treat all our customer polite, doing our job professionally and always deliver the best results.
Not only the flooring job was amazing but also the staircase one.
I have tried to explain you that stairs recapping means solid wood on treads and veneer on risers and stringers. It is not possible to do it other way unless you are aiming for a new staircase to be build from scratch.
Despite you being rude in language and attitude from the very fist day of the job, I didn’t pay attention and even I was providing side services free of charge.
The conflict appeared when you refused to make the last payment, a significant one, using as an excuse a piece of ¼ round that was looking slightly different from the one next to it. I explained again that the oak takes color in a different way depending of the grain but was useless.
Your review here, 0 out of 10 was obviously based on bad intention rather than objectivity.
It is not possible to put picture of your job in this message but I will create a new gallery with your job because I am proud of the results.
Thank you!

Rob came on time and did inspection. There were snow on the roof so he made no effort to even see the condition of roof. He was not communicating with me while doing the Home inspection. Will not recommend to anyone. Sorry but that’s the truth.

Hi Rajesh.

Thank you for posting a review.

Just to clarify, NO ROOFER OR INSPECTOR CAN CLIMB A ROOF THAT IS COVERED WITH HEAVY SNOW OR ICE. This was clearly communicated to you on site.

Inspectors cannot clear the snow from a roof.

NO ROOFER OR INSPECTOR WILL RISK THEIR LIFE TO CLIMB A SNOW COVERED ROOF.

The inspection took longer than normal due to the numerous questions answered throughout the inspection.

The 72 PAGE INSPECTION REPORT contained serious issues such as EXTERIOR WALL ISSUES, STRUCTURAL ISSUES, SOFFIT ISSUES, ELECTRICAL ISSUES, PLUMBING ISSUES, VENTILATION ISSUES, MOLD ISSUES, SAFETY ISSUES and POSSIBLE ASBESTOS.

It’s unfortunate that you are not concerned about the major costly issues and safety issues with this house and focused solely on a roof that was impossible to inspect because it was heavily covered in snow.

HOME INSPECTORS MUST TAKE SAFETY INTO ACCOUNT WHILE DOING AN INSPECTION, and its unfortunate that you don’t have that consideration at heart for your inspector.

Best Regards,

Rob.
