I was referred to this company by Sewer Squad following the flooding of my basement in mid August 2018 due to a massive rain storm at the time; I was told they do great work. they did do an assessment of the situation very quickly; and removed the damaged parts for drying; my insurance paid up; then I was told the repair work could not be scheduled until the end of September. However, I requested an alternate day, as I would be away on holidays at the time, and was given the day of October 15 - the repair manager did show up and assured me that repair work would start later on this week. On October 18 the company contacted me to say that they could not do the work and would I please find an alternate contractor -... needless to say I am one unhappy customer!

Gary and Lee Haber did a superlative job in the finish of my newly lowered/underpinned basement of a very old townhouse. Lee Haber pays attention to every details (many of which I would never have thought of). The quality of the work they do is superior. The price is fair (especially given the workmanship). Of all the people I have hired in the past to do renovation work of various kind in houses I have owned, I would say that the work done by this company is the best I've seen.

Joe Falco installed the radiant heat in my newly lowered and underpinned basement. I also hired him to move some gas lines in the basement and to install a gas fireplace insert in my non-functioning coal fireplace. Joe is very pleasant and professional. The work is well done. Only hick up is - Joe is extremely difficult to get a hold off as he's so very busy. Other hick up was that he failed to come back and check up on work after I contacted him to say that my sons smelled gas just outside my front door. It turns out there was a leaky joint in one of the pipes Joe had been working on. This of course can happen. I wish Joe had made a point of coming back. as it is - I did not realize this constitutes an emergency until I spoke to my brother in Ottawa on Xmas day and he insisted I call Endbridge right away - they showed up within 1/2 hour and fixed the leaky joint in a matter of minutes .... .... despite this little set back - I would (and will) hire Joe Falco again, as on the whole the job he did at my house has been very well done.

I'm very happy that I hired Max Gen Contracting to lower and underpin the basement and crawl space of my >100 year-old town house in dowtown Toronto. I got to this company by reading an article in the Toronto Star about the house collapse in North Toronto. The journalist mentioned 2 underpinnning companies - I contacted both of them - of the two, Max Gen Contracting made the job sound very possible, even though the access to my site was horrible. It so happened that they had also lowered the basement of a neighbour's house on the street and that the neighbours were very pleased with the work. The team is very professional. Everything was completed on time, on budget and as per what they promised. If something needed fixing afterwards- they did not make a fuss, but came back a couple of times to address minor issues and concerns I had. I would not hesitate to recommend them to my neighbours and friends for an underpinning job.

Einzig is certainly not the cheapest bid for window cleaning that I received - but I am nonetheless very pleased with their service. They were inside my house (in my absence) - in other words, I trust the team to be honest (and they were). The job was extremely well done - although of course, with living downtown, it needs a repeat (and I will be hiring them again).

my 100-year-old townhouse still has a crawl space for part of the basement. I was referred to KH Davis Engineering for the structural plans to lower crawl space and basement. Yu Ching Lai and Mike Shirzadfar provided me with an excellent service. They also helped in reassuring the neighbours that the project is safe. They have made the planning of this project easy - now I'm waiting for the actual renovation to start!

Raffi serviced my 8 year old high efficiency furnace last year twice (needed new parts). this year something else broke. I called Raffi; he sent an associate who proceeded to quote me $5500 to replace furnace. thinking I did not have a choice, I agreed and gave him a $1500 deposit - later same day, Raffi told me this guy is ripping you off, I will replace your furnace for $2000 - and also told me to deduct whatever I had paid to his associate (I had to fight to get part of the deposit back). As another reviewer wrote, Raffi is a gentleman and close to a saint in how he treats his customers

I found AtlasCare via Homestars recommendations of other customers - the split A/C AtlasCare recommended is excellent (very quiet) - the installing team (James and Nick) are top notch (would not know they had ever been there at the end of the day - absolutely no mess left behind) - probably not the cheapest company to hire, but for me reliability and service provided is paramount

i had sold my house and purchased another one this past spring. I decided somewhat late that I would like the entire house to be painted before moving in. There were 2 days in which to get the job done. My real estate agent referred me to Finer Edge after I had received a rather high quote from another painting company I had used before. Finer Edge's quote was more reasonable and they had excellent reviews already on Homestars. I decided to give them a chance. I am very glad I did. They completed the job in the allotted time. Everything was very well done (I am picky). They came back to do some small touch ups when I noticed a minor defiicency. They came back again to paint a small patch of my basement floor at no extra charge (backwater valve installation required a hole and a patch up of cement which I wanted painted). I have no hesitation in recommending this painting company and will likely use them again when the time comes to repaint my house.

Luc's Roofing resurfaced the roof of my house in the spring of 2012. The job was superbly done - and this was in fact commented upon when I had a pre-sale home inspection of the house this spring. This year, Luc also provided his expert opinion on the age and condition of my flat roof in a house I just purchased. When it comes time to replace this flat roof, I will definitely hire Luc's roofing Ltd.
