We dealt with Mark for the sales process and he was easy to work with. I got a quote over the phone after giving him a few details. He knew of what rebates(including government ones) I could apply for and as a result gave me the best price. I was able to get the furnace installed on the same day that I ordered it. He even threw in a humidifier because that was the current promotion. At the same time as the installation, Mark arranged for the energy audit to take place. This basically killed 2 birds with one stone. I didn't need to be at home another day for the audit. The audit was for the government rebate. Ali did the installation and was quick and efficient. He even told me my original electronic filter was connected incorrectly. It was always one if the furnace had power. He changed to it turn on when the furnace fan was on. This a small thing that he didn't have to do, but he did it anyways. Unfortunately, there was an issue with a small gas leak. I noticed the smell in the evening and ended up calling Enbridge. The leak didn't set off the detector, but I could see bubbles from the using the water and soap test. The technician ended up turning off the gas to the furnace. Ali came over fixed it first thing the next day. He told me I should have called him right away (even in the evening). He would've come.

I had them come and look at my furnace which stopped working overnight. Our house was around 18 degrees by mid morning. After some fiddling, the technician quickly told me that a motor died and that it would cost me $2000 to replace the part. At this point it was recommended that I get a new furnace. That made a lot of sense because the quote that he got from the salesperson at Convertiable Heating and Air Conditioning for me was roughly $4000. Later that evening I played around with the power switch and the furnace started to work, but the result of the fiddling that the technician did, the thermostat was off, and the furnace was running at full blast. That was good enough for us to last another night. I was able to get the salesperson on the phone and asked if the price could be lower and the sales person seemed offended that I asked. I was not informed of any rebates. ie manufacture or government rebates. The next morning I had a discussion with the technician and told him that our furnace was still working. He started by telling that I shouldn't keep the furnace on all the time because it was running at full power, but when I asked him to come reconnect it to my thermostat he seemed to change his tune and say that it might be better keeping things the same. Did he say that because he didn't want to come back or was it actually better to keep things the same? In any case, I decided to just leave things the same and look for another quote. The furnace was kind of working, so I had time to get other quotes to compare with the pricing I got from Convertible Heating. 2 days later I was able to get multiple quotes and have a new furnace installed the same day that I requested it(from another company). With the other company I was able to get multiple rebates from the manufacture of the new furnace and a government audit for a rebate was arranged for me. To the technician's credit, he called me back the day after I got my new furnace to tell me he found a used part that he could install for me. In the end I choose to believe that I may have picked the wrong day to call with an issue. From all the reviews I've seen most people are happy. Unfortunately that was not my experience.

Good afternoon, I appreciate your feedback, it sounds like you had a furnace showing multiple issues which can be very common. The one thing to note is that never, ever do we act inappropriately, or in a manner that takes advantage of others.

I think that you recognize this by the way that we treated you professionally and with care and no pressure.

If in the end you chose to replace the furnace with somebody else we appreciate that, but it has nothing to do with us lacking Integrity or professionalism or knowledge. It just means that you did not go ahead with the repair, which any technician would've been experiencing the same issues. And I am not sure what you were talking about regarding a $4000 furnace. We don't have any furnace is on our price list for that amount of money!

and we offer manufacturer rebates every day as well as the Enbridge gas rebates to all of our customers.
Something sounds a little fishy here.

Max was prompt. He showed up when he said he would. He also was honest. My issue went from being an issue with the amount of Puron to needing a new AC coil. That was a bit of a downer because it went from being a $280 job to a $960 job. That's about 1/3 the cost of a new AC. Essentially the coil was leaking and after some tinkering Max told me that it was probably my TX valve(what ever that this). He did this without actually looking at the valve. To me that was little surprising to me, but he was adamant that it was the valve. Anyways, he recommended that I get a new coil without this valve because that valve breaks down easily. The cost of replace the valve would be the same as replace the whole coil with out the valve. This would reduce the efficiency, but I was okay with that because the AC was already 10 years old. I figure for that price it would need to last me 3 years to be worth it. Luckily the warranty is 3 years. In the end I decided to go with his suggestion and get the new coil and the next day everything was fixed and I'm living in cool comfort. Hopefully I won't have to call him again!!

Thanks for business and review, Dear customer I didn't check inside because TXV at your system wasn't adjustable and we can check performance of TXV only from pressure at outside unit, you did call on Sunday after around 2 hours I was at your house, and next day which was long weekend on Monday I had part ready and installed and problem was fixed on long weekend, so I think we deserved more than average score , I appreciate if you let us know what was our weakness,
thanks again, Max
