I’m writing this review on the 3rd and last day of this deck Reno. Yes, that’s right, this only took them 3 days!! Ryan and his hardworking crew left this evening and we already started putting furniture on the deck as we’re so excited. From the start Ryan has been remarkable in his customer service and listening to what we wanted. Every question, every email and every text was promptly addressed. Even getting a quote didn’t take 2 weeks-yes, we lost 2 weeks waiting for another company to give us a quote before we called Golden Valley. Ryan showed us how a professional should treat their customers. Even when I was concerned about the spacing of the pergola beams and mentioned it to him, he reminded me we had wanted an “airy look” not “heavy” and that I should trust him. When the second layer of 2x2’s went up I understood and loved it!!! He really was listening! Our neighbours came over right away and we already received lots of complements. Would definitely recommend Golden Valley Decks!

Just had to let people know about our incredible experience with Raywall kitchens- especially Andreina, our kitchen designer. Andreina was incredibly patient, knowledgeable and accommodating in every aspect of our kitchen remodel. The customer service was exceptional and we truly felt like they cared to get it just perfect. Our Reno was a lengthy one due to waiting for permits to demolish walls and the design is completely different from the original kitchen. But we literally have an open concept with zero “dead space” in our cupboards and every cabinet has something “special” whether it’s slideouts, spice racks, garbage/recycling centre, vertical tray/pan storage, tinted glass doors, etc. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the cabinets, starting with their packaging on arrival and installation expertise. It’s not easy choosing a stain and style from one sample door, so we were extreme happy on installation day when we saw how good everything looked- so rich and expensive looking. Andreina was always quick to respond to our emails and in arranging followup service calls as required to install counter supports and extra slide outs/shelves. Because of the new open concept with a spacious breakfast bar our family actually likes eating together in the kitchen now rather than at the coffee table! Thank you Raywall for bringing our family together again!

Thanks for the great review Patty. We are very pleased to hear you and your family love the new kitchen. We will certainly pass along the message to Andreina.

Gus came to our rescue! We were starting to feel confused and frustrated with the wide range of quotes we getting for electrical work on our kitchen Reno. We heard we didn't need a permit or that we needed a whole new electrical panel. Then we met Gus from Deal and Company Electrical. He came in with so much experience and knowledge setting our minds at ease by confidently explaining what he would do and why it would work. We found his quote reasonable and he communicated well when it came to starting the job and coming back to finish it once cabinets were in. So Gus had to basically rewire the entire kitchen. He relocated the fridge outlet, stove outlet, exhaust fan outlet, and dishwasher wiring. New potlights we're installed in the kitchen and living room. New light fixtures went in the hallway and the dining room light was relocated. He installed undercabinet lighting and 3 new pendant lights. He also had to start this work by rerouting all the electrical from a wall that was removed too! God Bless Anne for responding quickly to all my emails, questions and booking the work. And thank you Gus for not killing me for all the post- it notes and long lists I left you with. Would strongly recommend Deal and Company Electrical!!

"Go big or go home"! This is what Steve said to me the first time I met him to give us his thoughts about potentially removing a load bearing wall. We had so many different quotes and heard "no you don't need a permit" to "absolutely you need one" and "this isn't load bearing" to "yes it's load bearing". We were very confused about what to do and how to proceed. But in came Steve from Elite Renovators. He carefully assessed not only the first floor where the wall was but also the floors above and below and determined (accurately) that indeed it was load bearing. So we could either leave the wall as it was and just renovate our kitchen using exact template as our old kitchen or GO BIG and knock down the wall, open the space up and really renovate and redesign the kitchen and living/dining spaces. Steve took the time to explain the whole process about applying for permit, getting engineers to draw up plans, and the logistics of removing the wall with little mess and all in a timely fashion. We were sold! And we appreciated that he returned calls/texts immediately, we kept him in the loop about when the permit was approved and he kept us updated on when work could start (next day after approval!) and kept his word about how long it would take and exactly what would be done. Today we just passed final inspection with the city and the first floor looks amazing! It's so much more spacious and perfect for entertaining. Thank you so much Steve for your patience with all our concerns and questions and helping us accomplish our dream Reno!

JDL Home Services was one of several quotes we got to do our first floor Reno. But it was an easy choice to go with Cornel and his crew because they were very reliable, experienced and reasonably priced. Cornel always responded to our calls immediately, showed up when he said he would and explained the work he was doing so there were no surprises. The first floor was a mess with the kitchen down to the studs in many places as we had a load bearing wall and several bulkheads removed. JDL came in to "clean up" and did all the framing, drywalling, plastering, painting to get this space looking great. They relocated the stove exhaust fan and Did all the plumbing for both the kitchen and the powder room. This included hooking up a new dishwasher, 3 sinks in total and 2 fawcets. He was very attentive and wanted it to look perfect. His famous quote? "I hate plastic!" We heard that a lot during the plumbing process when he saw our expensive sinks and fawcets yet they had plastic parts. Seems like he's old school that way and likes quality work with quality parts. We're very happy with all the work JDL Home Services did and the customer experience they delivered. Highly recommend them!
