I had originally hired another major company to replace the windows on one side of the house. Due to the lack of service and poor installation I received from this company, we decided not to use them again to do the front windows. This past summer, I noticed several of my neighbors had their windows replaced, all by different companies. However, two houses stood out in terms of their aesthetic appeal. When I found out that the windows in these two homes were installed by Lux, I made the decision to go with them. Though I knew Lux produced quality windows, I wanted to make sure that I received quality installation as well. I requested Jeremy based on reading past reviews and he did not disappoint. He went above and beyond to make sure that the windows were installed correctly. He was extremely meticulous and professional. You could tell he really took pride in his work and wasn’t rushing to “just getting the job done.” Now that I had the chance to work with two major windows companies in Calgary, I can attest that Lux is by far the most professional company in terms of service, installation, and overall product. I absolutely love my new windows!!! Thank you Jackie for your patience in answering all my questions and Jeremy for his outstanding installation! My only regret is not using LUX the first time.

Supreme states on their website that they stand "behind their quality products and craftsmanship." However, what we found was that they supplied us with poor customer service and low quality windows. After only a year, the black rubber sealant around the window corner has completely come off. When we contacted the service department, they stated, "the windows were most likely this way from the beginning." And that they can only send someone "to clean it up." "Cleaning it up" doesn't fix the problem. Weather stripping around new windows shouldn't be worn away after only a year. When we requested to speak to a supervisor, we were further ignored. At the end of the day, the pictures speak for themselves. In fact, we had our bottom floor windows replaced by a different window company and you can see the huge quality difference. So at the end of the day, I paid thousands of dollars for poor quality windows to a company that doesn't stand behind their product.

My apologies to the Versatile team for the long overdue review. We hired them to transform our dingy, outdated 80s bathroom into a bright, modern oasis. We were very cautious from the beginning on hiring the right company since we heard some horror stories of other contractors doing shotty work and not following through on their words, During my first meeting with Herb, he struck me as someone who was very committed to pleasing his customers and delivery quality results. He made some suggestions that I didn't even think of. In the end, I chose Versatile because of their positive reviews, online presence and the fact they were the only one who didn’t take a deposit upfront. Within two weeks, Mark, Herb and Brady gutted the entire master bathroom and transformed it from a dated 80’s bathroom to a modern oasis. When issues came up, like in many renovation situations, Herb took care of it immediately. The team worked tirelessly from beginning to end, to ensure that every detail was perfected with quality in mind. I posted some before and after pictures below. The photos really speak for themselves. The bathroom is even more stunning in person. I love the transformation!

I searched for months for someone to put vinyl tiles in my 280 sq ft living room. You would think this would be an easy task, but it turned out to be a lot harder. Some contractors were very flaky. They didn't follow through on their word to send me a written estimate. Others quoted me outrageous fees that I would have been a fool to accept. And then there were ones who wanted deposits upright to start the job. After some time, my husband and I almost decided to do it ourselves. Then one day, I pass by Centura Tile on my way to another showroom. I was blown away by how beautiful the showroom was. One of the employees who helped me, said they just had the place renovated. When I asked him who did the tile work, he mentioned Orion Tile. Normally, I only hire companies with lots of reviews. But the fact that they came so highly recommended by one of the biggest tile distributors in Canada, I was confident Orion would do a great job. I called, Daryl, the owner of Orion Tile, the very next day. He came over as promised and on time. Within two days, he emailed me a written quote, which was very reasonable. I like the fact that Dayl was always present on the job site and kept me informed from beginning to end. His crew cleaned up after themselves and were respectful in my home. Considering all the weird angles in the room, he and his team did an amazing job setting the tiles perfectly. For someone as picky as me, I couldn't find any flaws in the flooring. Orion Tile is a hidden gem!!! I will definitely use them again for future tiling jobs.

Back in October, we interviewed three glass companies to give us an estimate for installing a glass shower. The installer from VEL seemed the most competent and detailed with his measurements. Aaron and his partner were the only ones who took their time to use a laser beam, which allowed us to visualize the placement of the glass (see picture). This was crucial, since it showed us beforehand, areas where the glass might be off centered due to the design of the shower. None of the other companies did this! Instead, other installers spent no more than 15 minutes giving only quick measurements and left offering very little suggestions. Since I had a tough time deciding on the design, Kim, the office manager, was extremely patient in helping me to choose the right shower. In the past when I called other companies, I often get the receptionist who would pass my message and then I would have to wait for days to receive an answer. However, with VEL, it was a refreshing experience. The personal attention I received was a nice change. I appreciate that Kim always took the time to answer any questions or concerns I had. To top it off, their quote was also the cheapest. Thank you VEL for the amazing service and workmanship! We LOVE our shower glass. It has definitely become a stunning piece in our bathroom and I could not be more happier :)
