After recommending a good engineer (who I was very happy with) to complete the drawings for my garage in the spring of 2014, John agreed to build the frame for it. As he was busy with jobs that had already been lined up for that summer, I had to wait until the fall of 2014 for him to be available. Because of the thoroughness of the questions he was asking about the end use[s] of the garage, the additional suggestions he was making, and the many positive reviews he had, I decided to wait until he was available. I was glad I did, as the frame he built was solid and was praised by the city inspector (for going beyond code requirements e.g. in use of hurricane ties), and by the roofing and the siding contractor as well. The contractors both said it was a great to build on work that was clean, square, and well thought-out. I wrote this review last fall but for some reason it was not published then. John asked me about it recently so I am writing it again and hope that it does not get lost this time.

Josh did a great job with removing a raccoon and her three babies from my attic. He took the time to make sure he was hearing where they were located before cutting into the wall. Once he cut, he was exactly where he needed to be, leaving me with minimal disruption and wall repair. He was very gentle with the removal of the babies and waited to ensure the mother knew where her babies were so she could get them. It is clear Josh cares both about doing good work and the well-being of the animals he is removing. I would recommend Josh and his company to anyone with wildlife issues.

I am a general contractor who asked John to meet with my customer and provide an estimate for a deck. John explained several options very clearly and answered the customer's questions in detail. After the meeting, the customer felt comfortable about working with him, and confident with her final choices after being given so much useful information. She also felt the price was quite reasonable. John and his team did a beautiful job on the deck they built and completed it on time and on budget. He was also a great help with other framing and support issues I came across while renovating the room leading to the deck. It is clear to me that he has a great deal of general construction knowledge and that building and renovating properly and beautifully is very important to him. His costs for dealing with the extras I asked him to take on were very reasonable. John and his crew were a pleasure to work with and kept my customer very happy during their time on the project. And most importantly, they left the customer with a deck she and her family were thrilled with. John is a true professional whom I recommend without hesitation.
