Our Whirlpool Duet washing machine started making very loud noises. Joe came, offered that our bearings were dead (as he had warned over the phone) and was frank about it. However, he recommended that we continue to use the washer until it stops working. Unfortunately, the washer started eating our clothes, leaving stains and tearing off bits of plastic and metal. Needless to say we were peeved - our bed sheets ruined. Joe was apologetic, said he'd never heard of this in all his years, and refunded our money. The original advice was off the mark, but the response about all we could ask for.

The customer called me with a noisy front load washer. I went over the details with the customer over the phone and told him that the machine could be noisy for various reasons. The customer invited me to go and have a look. I went over and explained that it was the bearing that was making noise and that everything else was ok. At the time, the washer was still spinning but only making noise. So, I told the customer that he needed to buy a new machine, that it was not worth repairing. However, I did say he could use the machine, 'under supervision'. This was my recommendation because I've had customers with noisy machines, who kept using their machines with no real problems. It is unfortunate, that in this case the machine only lasted for a few more loads and then the bearing completely gave way, which is not usual. Had someone been supervising the operation of the washer, they would have heard that something was going very wrong. The machine could have been stopped on time. In good faith, I did go back and refund the customer even though I do not feel it was necessary. After all of this, the customer contacted me several times for me to recommend where he could get a good deal on a new machine. I continued to assist him at no charge. I'm sorry that you had to go through this experience, Ben. On my part, I did my best to help you and was not compensated for it. Regards, Joe.

Dan came by on short notice to install an outlet for an electric dryer. Was super friendly, did the job quickly and reasonably-priced. Easy to book via email as well.

Drainworks made my night. I foolishly attempted to seal an open drain in my home with a cap. The cap fell into the drain, clogging it! Within 90 minutes, Jeremy was at my door. He used the camera to find the cap, used a fancy wire trick to get into the right pipe, and was easy to get along with. Despite my being a complete fool, he made it seems like this was perfectly normal! Thank you Drainworks. (They would get a 10, but the phone salesman was a bit pushy)

**Thanks Ben** We are grateful for the review and thank you for sharing this experience here with others. It is rewarding to know that you were satisfied with the quick service you received. Regarding the customer service representative in the office, please be advised that we were simply promoting the urgency to get someone over as soon as possible to avoid any water use causing a larger problem in your home with flooding, or even worse, by having the cap get stuck in an area where it would be impossible to be retrieved. We are glad we got out there when we did and that we were able to rectify the issue. We look forward to being the plumbing and drain service providers you can rely on should you require assistance again in the future.
