I recently went online to look for a company to replace 560 square feet of flooring in the second floor of my condominium unit. There was some urgency as I had received approval for the work from the condominium Board and was placed in a queue. Because many residents are working from home, only one renovation is allowed at a time in order to keep noise to a minimum. I was impressed by the reviews of Safeway Carpet and Flooring and so contacted them. Within hours, I heard back from Sam. He came to my unit once to discuss the job and take measurements. He returned a second time to check on the measurements and provide a cost. He was available to perform the work the following week. I was very impressed with his product knowledge and recommendations based on his experience. In two days he and his co-worker removed the old flooring, installed vinyl over an acoustic pad, and installed mouldings and transition strips. Their work is extremely neat and accurate. The floors look perfect. I plan to have the company replace carpeting on the stairway and the flooring on the main floor. I have no reservations about wholeheartedly recommending this company.

I recently had four Oriental carpets cleaned by Reliabale Carpet & Upholstery Care Inc, located at 270 Carlaw Ave. They did a fantastic job; all stains I identified were removed. I have not had such a good experience as this at two other places. At one, the carpet was damaged; at the other, carpets were returned with stains intact. Reliable gave me a 20% discount because I brought in and picked up the carpets. When picking up, I was not able to park close to their store and so a staff member carried the carpets to my car. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely continue to use this service.

I needed to find a tiler to replace a tile floor in a condominium kitchen. The job was small, approximately 80 square ft, a project that some tilers find too small. Mike, of G&S Construction, was recommended by a friend. He did a perfect job - the floor looks beautiful! He and his co-workers were very neat. Mike stuck to his cost estimate and time to completion of 3 days. I highly recommend using him.

Some of the work was complicated, yet they demonstrated competency, made appropriate suggestions, and cleaned up after each working day. One fixture required additional work and they returned to do it, even though they had been paid for the entire job. They were very pleasant throughout the process.

One Saturday, during the heavy rains at the end of June, my husband and I found water coming into our basement laundry room. We had work done by Larry Jewitt several years earlier, so I called his number and left a message with his answering service. On Monday, Larry appeared at our door; by Thursday, Leonard and his crew began work and by the following Monday, the water proofing was completed. Our job was urgent as we had sold our house and were moving within two weeks. Jewitt Masonry truly deserves 10 stars for excellent work at a very fair price.

By the time I left a phone message about a vacuum repair, received a return call, took the vacuum to the location at 101 Spadina, and left the shop with a fixed vacuum, less than 3 hours had elapsed. I told Marco, I couldn't believe I was getting such excellent service in Toronto. I was also surprised - pleasantly so - by the very affordable price.
