I have lived in a century house downtown for nearly 25 years and have used Alpine on at least three occasions. Previous work has included the main roof, rebuilding a chimney (though they likely contracted that one out) covering old trim with metal so as to make it maintenance free. I have been happy with the work and the price. The advantage of dealing with a firm that has been around for a while is that they are likely to be there when you need them next time so when our roof sprung a leak two years ago at the end of its lifespan, Alpine came and replaced the roof in late December. When you need a roof, you need a roof and you need someone who will fix it ASAP! Alpine was ready, willing and able. So when we had a squirrel family move in in early December, and could see that they came in through some very old cedar shingles at the back of the house where we had never done any work, it was a no-brainer to call Alpine. At the same time as they fixed the little bit of roof with the cedar, we had them put some siding and trim at the back of the house and replaced a twenty-three year old flat roof with which we had had no problems but I felt it was close to the end of its lifespan and thought it better to replace it ten months too early than ten days too late! Finally, to prevent the squirrels finding another way in, we installed some very serious steel wildlife protection on our roof vents. All work was completed quickly and well. I am very happy to recommend Alpine!

We chose to replace a boiler which was more than 25 years old before we were forced to so I called for some quotes. David Frost, a sales rep with Belyea Bros., was the most knowledgeable and helpful of the people we met from the different companies, and his knowledge was able to save us some money, and not just because his price was the lowest. In fact, his price was the lowest because he was able to see how best to manage the installation, so kudos to David. Marco and Paul, who did the installation were excellent. They answered my questions as they went about their work and managed to hide some of the venting work in a way which will make my own refinishing much faster and better. They took almost exactly the time we were led to expect, a little less actually, and my house is warm, my water hot, so I'm a happy customer!

We have had a number of sewage-backup problems over the years due to a private sanitary line shared with five other properties, hundred-year old clay pipes, and a very healthy, mature weeping willow tree which feeds on the line. Kevin Penney of Brothers was extremely helpful in devising a solution to our huge problem. Igor and a crew of other Ukrainians were fantastic at making the project happen as fast as I can imagine it could . Of the plumbers from six different firms I spoke with, Kevin was the only one who inspired confidence in knowing exactly what to do to help the city to expedite their side of the excavations as our new sanitary drain required a new hookup to the city sanitary line. It fell into place pretty much as he predicted and we are very grateful.
