Mystery leak under veg bin of my LG fridge had me stumped. Yevhen diagnosed the problem as a crack in the water reservoir for the chilled water supply. Fixed the problem. Also looked at and diagnosed a couple of other problems in kitchen appliances and explained the problem and provided quotes. I appreciated the time he took to figure out the problems which other appliance repair people didn't bother with.

PURCHASE (June 14): When I purchased a Maytag washer, I had concerns about the dimensions as it is a stacked washer-dryer situation and the Maytag was replacing a Whirlpool Duet. Rajesh assured me everything would be fine without even checking the dimensions or asking any questions. When I got home, I was worried and called the store. They put me through to Rajesh's voicemail and I left a message but never got a call back. A little too eager to sell and not concerned about the customer's needs or questions. Still don't know if the washer will fit in the available space. I will have to wait and see when it is delivered. DELIVERY (July 4): I was told the washer would be delivered in 7-10 business days after date of purchase, most likely in 7 days. It ended up being 11 days plus delivery which is several business days later. They make promises they cannot keep knowing once you have purchased the item, you will not go through the hassle of canceling the order and shopping at another store.

Home Service Club is a mixed bag. We got an excellent, efficient electrician once. A dawdling electrician once. For the chimney repair, one quote was astronomical and quoted with visual inspection from the ground while the other used binoculars and quoted much less. We also got a dilly-dallying, middling plumber who: kept misplacing his phone and wandering around the house looking for it, insisted a clogged drain was fine, said a pipe joint was fine that burst (I kid you not) two days later, and dawdled for half an hour after work was done, making phone calls and making out the invoice. In the problem situations, Home Service Club tried to make amends but it was too little too late. I have talked to upper management there about setting up a review system (rather like this one) to weed out bad contractors but they don't seem interested in improving their service.
