Eddie responded to my RFQ with a flexible, yet fully compliant offer. After reviewing other, rather non-compliant, offers I called Eddie and we agreed to execute the work next day. Next day Eddie inspected the works and cleared the gutter and downspout sections in question. Eddie tested the works after and suggested to monitor the performance to eliminate certain ambiguity in previous performance results. Eddie also made some minor adjustments around the house requiring work at height. Eddie executed the work in a professional manner and I recommend him for similar work..

Alex was the first one to respond to my RFQ on HomeStars site. His offer was clear with an excellent execution flexibility. I called him the next day, after I examined other offers, and we agree to do the work the same day. Alex arrived on time and replaced our old faulty toilet with a unit I bought. He also pointed to a leak which was corrected by installation of the new toilet and identified the source of water hammer and its possible remedies. Alex executed the work very well including site cleaning and debris removal. I recommend Alex as he is a real Master Plumber.

Owner Ali personally took all the measurements and was very helpful in selection of the counter top material. Installer Jonathan arrived on time, worked fast and did a good clean-up job at the end. Jonathan noticed a minor scratch on one of the sections but to make the kitchen functional he install it and came a week later with a new one and replaced the scratched one! Without hesitation I can recommend this company to anyone.

After interviewing several leading companies in the business I decided to accept proposal from Zen Construction Inc. Work included rebuilding of the steps to the main entrance, relaying pavers on the whole driveway and some pavers in the backyard patio. Work was somewhat complicated as it was a corrective work of the work done in 2012 by an unqualified and dishonest contractor who deliver shoddy work and did not honour his warranty commitments. At the start Zen Construction Inc. representative presented a clear proposal at competitive price to which the company adhere without exception. The corrective work was done in two stages and in both instances Zen Construction Inc. crew was at site on time and work efficiently yet with the utmost attention to details. Crew was always courteous and open to our suggestions. At the end of each day they perfectly clean up the site and were careful with adjacent shrubs and flowers. What a difference from the previous contractor! Looks like honest, hard working and caring contractors still exist. I DO RECOMMEND ZEN CONSTRUCTION INC. COMPANY WITHOUT HESITATION.

In early 2014 I awarded to this company a contract for some interlock work in the backyard, driveway and path to the front entrance. Despite the assurance of the sales person who promised to be a "dedicated manager every step with the project" wrong material was delivered and at the wrong phase of the work. This deficiency resulted in excessive stone cutting, time delays and nuisance with dust everywhere. Crew was not too bad but worked on a very unpredictable schedule. After winter 2014/15 I found uneven settlements in the backyard and in the driveway. The step to the front door settled in a way that requires a complete rebuild. So far, rather disappointing results and I would not give them more than two starts for it. However, the worst came when I contacted Josh (the owner) this spring and ask him to make necessary repair as the contract clearly states "two year warranty". Response was shocking. In the beginning almost impossible to contact him, later a complete silence. When, on rare occasions I was able to reach him he would not commit to anything and was rather condescending about the whole issue. Obviously, he completely ignores his contractual obligation and disclaims the ownership of this problem. That I consider the major deficiency of this company. For this I cannot give them but zero stars as an overall mark. As I doubt they can even do this work properly I am considering to hire a reputable and experienced contractor to do the repair. If you value your peace of mind, money and time do not deal with this company. BE CAREFUL. YOUR CONTRACT WITH FIELDMASTERS MAY BECOME JUST A WORTHLESS PIECE OF PAPER.
