We had torn down our old kitchen cabinets and we needed to get the drywall and floor repaired, for new cabinets. I called Joe to take care of the repairs. Parts of my floor had K3, other parts had subfloor and other parts needed subfloor. Joe did a great job repairing and levelling the floor. They also put in new drywall for the incoming backsplash. Joe did a great job and afterwards we had no issues with installing the new cabinets. Joe is very knowledgeable and great to work with. RC

We had Kyle do some electrical work for our kitchen reno. We had 6 pots lights installed, and added 2 plugs to our kitchen island (1-for microwave, 1-new one for island). Kyle did a nice job with the install. He came on time, cleaned up the area after words, answered my questions, offered good suggestions and was polite and professional. He was also very gracious when I wanted to make some last minute adjustments. He is very knowledgeable and great to work with! RC

For our kitchen reno, we had Contemporary Surfaces install our quartz countertops. Leigh and the team were great to work with. We called Leigh and she showed us some samples from their suppliers. They had a nice selection since they work with a number of different suppliers. Once we picked our quartz countertop, Leigh gave us a quote, which was very reasonable. Actually, we thought we got a really great piece of stone for the price. Much better than other places we looked at. During our reno, we had some issues with some other trades and had to reschedule our countertop install date. Leigh was very gracious and understanding. During the templating and install, Mike came, and he was very polite and professional. They did a good job installing the countertop. Overall, we are very happy with our countertops and the service we got. RC

Keith did a great job cleaning our furnace and vent. He came to the appointment on time and kept the area clean. He also went above and beyond my repairing/fixing duct insulation that was not addressed by a previous vent/furnace cleaning company. This other furnace/vent cleaning company is also highly rated on HomeStarts...so better to go with Keith! It was clear, Keith takes a lot of pride in his job and is very thorough and honest. Will use him again in the future.

In 2016, I paid for the complete program package, for my lawn. This lawn care package comes with several things including Mechanical Core Aeration and over-seeding (which is typically done after the aeration). Unfortunately, the mechanical core aeration and overseeding was not done. I called to let them know and the only thing they offered was to do it in the spring of 2017 for free. I used the company in the previous year (2015) regarding my lawn care and was happy with the results, so I decided to accept their offer and purchase a cheaper lawn care package.

One of the springs on my two car garage had snapped and needed to be replaced. I called Best Doors after I called some other well rated companies on Home Stars and found the prices at Best Doors to be slightly better. When I called Best Doors, I was happy to hear that they were able to come to my house the next day. Tony (owner of the company) was pleasant to speak with on the phone and politely answered all my questions. On the day of the service, I really appreciated that Tony called a head of time to let me know that he was on his way. He arrived at my house on time. When I was taking him through the house to the garage, he insisted that he take his shoes off to keep my floors clean (even though I said he could keep his shoes on). He completed the job as expected and answer some more of my questions. I was very satisfied with the work he did, and would definitely call him again.

Andy from Ducky's drain came over to (1) install a new sink and faucet (2) put in a new water tank (3) fix a leaky faucet. I am very satisfied with the work he did. He worked relatively quickly and it was apparent to me that he takes a lot of pride in his work. For the sink and faucet, Andy had to cut out a bigger whole in the counter. After he was done, he used his own vacuum to clean the area. I also appreciated how he put down large pieces of cloth on the ground to not get the floors dirty as he walked around the house. My house came with two water tanks where only one was working. Before putting in the new water tank, Andy removed both old tanks from the basement and reworked some of the venting in the furnace room. He was very friendly and answered all my questions. I definitely would recommend going with Ducky's Drains. RC

We were very pleased with the inspection James did on a home we were thinking about purchasing. He was very punctual (he was actually at the home early), and was friendly and professional. It was clear he was very knowledgeable, thorough, and took the time to answer all my questions. I left the inspection with a better understanding of the condition of the home and what sort of questions to ask the seller regarding the issues that came up. I would use James again and would recommend him to my friends and family.
