Dr HVAC performed surgery on my wallet
Needed two faucets replaced - one in the bathroom and another in the kitchen. We bought both faucets and called DR HVAC (formerly Hoerner Heating, who we loved) to come and install them a week later. I think they were disappointed there weren't more faucets to replace (originally I said I might replace all four in the house since they are all the same model) and that they weren't the ones selling us the faucets, because they charged me $1000 to do two routine installations in a little over an hour. $1000! No itemized invoice as promised, and no call back to discuss as requested. We have no idea what we paid for, or how the bill was calculated. Meanwhile, they took our money on the spot. No transparency and little accountability- these are questionable business practices for a service-oriented company- What's the lesson here? 1. Insists on a quote *before* they show up at your door and fleece you. Dr HVAC refused to provide an estimate of any kind before showing up. 2. Second lesson: avoid doing business with DR HVAC; find another plumber who is honest and reasonable to do routine work. p.s. the faucets were installed properly -we have had no issues with them.
