Unfortunately, this is not a happy story. As a new customer, having read the great reviews, I contacted Wildwood for an estimate. On August 6th, Mike came to my home to discuss what was necessary. He was very nice and obviously an expert. I was emailed the estimate by Jenn a couple of days later. It was detailed, with major pruning for my entire yard, as well as the removal of two shrubs, which would be replaced by two flowers. I replied that I would like to proceed with the work. Jenn indicated I would be scheduled for the third week in September. Having not heard anything, on September 28th I sent an email asking if there was any progress. Jenn replied I was scheduled for Friday, October 16th. On October 15th I left a voicemail to confirm the work for the following day. On October 16th, the day of the job, I received an email from Jenn indicating they would have to reschedule my work, as they were very busy. I replied that a last-minute postponement was concerning, but she replied that although extremely busy she would be in touch with a new date. I advised Jenn I looked forward to a date in the near future, but if that wasn't possible, to let me know so I could find somebody else. On October 19th I was notified that the new date for my work was Monday, November 2nd. On Friday, October 30th, I sent an email to confirm the November 2nd date. On Sunday, November 1st, at 8:00 p.m., I received an email from Jenn stating they had to reschedule me again. I replied that this was the second last-minute postponement and again, if they couldn't take new clients to just let me know. On Monday, November 2nd, Jenn emailed that their schedules always revolve, they have large construction projects that take precedence and that two days of rain impacted them. The work could be done in December. I told Jenn I understood, but that if December was necessary I would hope the workers would remove the coverings on some of my shrubs, do the pruning, and replace the coverings. I also expressed concern that if rain impacted the work, what about a snow storm. A couple of hours later Jenn emailed that she thought it best I find someone else to do the work and wished me luck. I was somewhat shocked and indicated this in my reply to Jenn. I told her I didn't mean anything untoward but if my questions about December angered her, that was a shame and her business organization difficulties should not be my problem. I really wanted to be a new Wildwood client, especially given they are a local business with excellent reviews. However, last-minute postponements are not exactly well-received; and my questions about December work were legitimate. If current clients continue to receive good service from Wildwood, that's excellent. For future new customers, beware of false promises.

I spilled coffee on top of my stove. It flowed into the top vents on the oven door and left an ugly mess between the exterior and interior glass of the door. Although it did not hamper the functionality of the stove, every time I saw it my blood pressure went up. Cascade to the rescue! I called Cascade and had a more than helpful conversation with Linda. The very next day Linda and Steve came to my home. They took the oven door apart and cleaned the coffee mess completely. These two people were friendly, helpful and professional. Their expertise was obvious. They took every precaution possible in these Covid-19 days and I was extremely impressed. I will absolutely call Cascade for any future appliance problems and highly recommend the company to anybody requiring honest and dedicated assistance.

I went to Shades of Home in Oakville and met Jasmina. I told her my current draperies for my living room window and sliding glass door were hideous and that I wanted new ones. Jasmina was wonderful!! She was very patient, extremely professional and worked very hard to ensure the fabric and style chosen would be beautiful. My new draperies were installed yesterday. They are absolutely exquisite. The quality cannot be surpassed and the fabric totally adds to the look of the room. The installers were also wonderful. They were experts, very kind and did a phenomenal job. My complete experience with Shades of Home and the entire process dealing with Jasmina as well as the installers was perfect. I highly recommend this business. Everyone involved was focused on customer service and perfection. I cannot say enough about the company and the people working there. I am over the moon happy!!

I could not be happier with this company and the 2 gentlemen who performed the work on my home. They were prompt, cheerful, polite, and expertly answered all of my questions. They took care to ensure there was no damage to the house and cleaned everything to perfection when they were finished. They also showed me exactly what work they had done. I don't know how they can be so efficient and positive whilst wearing those suits and being in an unbelievably hot attic on a scorching day. What a great team. I cannot adequately express how lucky I am to have found this company!! They have phenomenal employees and are obviously dedicated to customer service -- a rarity these days. I highly recommend EcoComfort to anybody requiring great and honest work.

I have never used a cleaning service but some home renovations left my house filthy. I tried to no avail to clean things myself. After reading countless reviews, I called Maid of All Work, Oakville, and it was the best decision I ever made. From the initial phone contact to the cleaning team that tackled the ground-in mess, I was met with nothing but kindness, professionalism and dedication to complete customer service. The ladies who cleaned my home were phenomenal. They worked diligently, with great attention to detail. I cannot sing their praises enough. They left my home sparkling and gave me a new feeling of pride for my house. This will definitely not be a one time thing -- I will utilize the services of this company again. I am more than impressed and highly recommend Maid of All Work. Outstanding!!

I am more than satisfied with the service provided by Greg of Doctor Screen. I wanted a new storm door that was not exactly "run of the mill". Greg went above and beyond to find a door that was perfect for my needs. He showed up promptly, was extremely professional and answered my numerous questions. The removal of the old door was not easy, but Greg persisted (always with a smile) and was successful. He installed the new door, took away the old one and ensured I was satisfied. I only have accolades for Greg and Doctor Screen. I would highly recommend this company for quality and professionalism.

I utilized Gasfix to do cleaning and tune-up of my gas fireplace. Scott called to advise he was on his way, with attendance at my home in approximately 20 minutes -- and arrived promptly. He was pleasant, professional and extremely thorough. He answered my questions without hesitation. He completed his work and left my house spotless. Scott was a pleasure to deal with and I highly recommend Gasfix.

I heard noises like a squirrel, between my main floor and second floor (not near the attic). Another company said I had no signs of entry and no critters. The noise persisted and I called All Wildlife. Jeff found the entry point (siding slightly pulled away). George and his team attended, further investigated and located a raccoon with a litter of babies. Because of the unique location of these critters, extraction could prove to be a costly nightmare. Not so!! With innovative thinking, they were able to remove the babies and lure the mother out to find a new place to set up a home. I cannot emphasize how much help, expertise, and professionalism each All Wildlife employee provided. I commend them for their dedication and work. They represent the company honourably.

Over 10 years ago I utilized this company for siding, soffits, facia, a double garage door, and gutters for my house. I also used them to replace all my windows. A few months ago I discovered siding beside and above the garage door was pulling away and weather-stripping for the door had inadvertently been left off. Two of David's staff did a total repair - not just by reattaching the old siding, but completely replacing the siding and adding secure weather-stripping. They were professional, friendly, and performed quality work. They refused to accept payment, even though the original job was over 10 years ago. Integrity and attention to customer service appears to be a hallmark of this company. More than impressed!

I purchased a new gas fireplace insert from Hearth Manor. Liz was very kind and as I was wanting to re-do the top of my hearth, she recommended the store contact, Pete. I had 2 appointments with Pete, both of which he missed -- without even calling ahead. He said he forgot them and I had to re-schedule both, freeing-up an additional 2 days. I dealt with Liz regarding products for the hearth, as she indicated she would communicate with Pete. Something went awry, as he did not follow my wishes, both explained to Liz via email, and confirmed by me to Pete directly in a phone call. I decided to not utilize Hearth services to re-do the hearth. The installation of the new insert was completed by a pleasant and industrious young man, but it was a lengthy process. Although my purchase receipt indicated installation was included in the total price, Liz told me I had to pay an extra $200.00 plus tax, because it took the installer longer than usual. I did not see this as my problem, but wanting to maintain a relationship with Hearth Manor, I paid. It was soon determined the unit had a defective part (through no fault of Hearth Manor). Liz had a replacement part ordered and installed in a timely fashion. I would encourage future customers engage the services of an alternate source should they wish to add tile, granite, etc., to their hearth. Further, they should ensure any purchase receipt/documentation clearly delineates circumstances in which additional charges for installation may be incurred.

I purchased a new gas fireplace insert & it did not work properly right from the start. The original problem was a faulty part covered by warranty, but the unit was still not operational. Scott subsequently saved the day! My appointment was quick and Scott was punctual. He was professional, friendly, and had a wealth of knowledge. His expert trouble-shooting identified a problem with the original installation by the store that sold me the insert. As I had experienced other problems with the store, I did not wish to deal with them, but rather entrust the matter to Scott. He was able to obtain and replace the proper mechanism (that should have been done during installation) the same day. I could not be more pleased with the service provided by Scott, and I am relieved that my fireplace is now safe and functioning. I will continue to utilize the expertise of Scott and his company from this point forward.
