ADT was the worst... recently moved to Toronto and was setting up my alarm. Basically, the CO2 sensor was broken (brand new). So okay, after stopping the fire fighters from breaking my door with an axe, I thought it was faulty equipment, fine. They were supposed to put the alarm on test mode so that it wouldnt alert the fire fighters until it was fixed. they scheduled a technician to visit... technician didn't bother to show. Guess what, test mode was off... I get a call at 3a saying fire fighters are going to break down my door... I rush over, JUST IN TIME! 2 seconds later and my door would have been done. So a technician finally comes... he didn't bring a ladder!!!!!!!!! so i had to wait again, sure enough, the alarm goes off a 3rd time. Then they finally come and fix it. The sales guy was great... but the follow through was SO horrible, I wanted to pull my hair out.

Let me start by saying this industry is filled with fly-by-nighters, poor customer service, confusing bylaws and zero accountability. I moved from Mississauga to Toronto recently and was looking for a credible paving contractor to install a walkway and driveway. I found 99% of contractors (i must have called nearly all of them) to be rude, disrespectful, and LI.ARS! A little research goes a long way... and with the Internet, it's not hard to catch these sleeze balls in a li.e. So anyway, I came across Northland Paving and I thought they were awesome. The sales man was knowledgeable and just the polar opposite of the sleeze balls you'd expect in this industry. They answered all my questions... were there whenever I needed them... the crew was great (real experts)... the job turned out phenomenal (really got that curb appeal i was looking for)... and the best part is they are local and they've been around for like 20 yrs, so i know they're not going anywhere!! Believe me, I put them through a lot of work... i visited their yard, i visited past jobs, etc... I was honestly trying to catch them for something. But they're the real deal. I'm probably the biggest skeptic you will come across in society... but when a company comes through the way Northland did for me and my parents (who I referred), you gotta vouch for them. Northland really is the white night in a shady industry. - Your Neighbourhood Skeptic
