After a shower Sunday night, came out to a pool of water in the basement bathroom. After some testing, I was able to determine that the main drain had a partial blockage. Called Butler after reading reviews on my local Facebook group Monday morning. They were able to pull someone off a job to help me out and clear and inspect my line to the city sewer line. I was very impressed with the flexibility, affordability, and professionalism of the technician that visited my house. Butler is definitely my go to going forward with plumbing issues.

Home inspection completed January 2021, everythinng seemed fine. Was told I was buying a solid house with some minor stuff you'd find in any home that was 70 years old. Was pointed to some siding issues but no urgency was noted. Got the report and again, in the report, the siding issue was observed but no action or details of what that issue was in it. Turns out when I took possession of the house, this "minor" siding issue is actually a $20,000 repair job just to repair the parts of the house with the issue. If the issue is widespread to all siding, it is more like a $50,000 replacement job. There's a five foot crack in one wall and another wall looks like it is peeling away from the house. You'd think after missing this major repair, I'd get some kind of help paying for the repair considering I used their report to make an offer on a house requiring a 5 digit home repair. After confirming the defect with a third party and being told their insurance will help with paying for the repair, it has been 6 months of radio silence. I would lawyer up but the time, effort, and cost of litigation with no guarantee of success is not a risk I can take after having to take this massive loss. I do not reccommend. There are more trustworthy companies out there, I am sure of it.

There were a couple wind storms recently in Edmonton. The first one ripped up about 20 sqft of my shingles off the roof (about 5 years old). I called the Renovation Store to repair from an online ad posting website. The price was right and the time frame quoted was quick. The work was completed and the roof looked great. That's where the good news ends. The work was completed rather late in the day (between 7:30 and 8:30 PM) when my youngest child would be sleeping. And after the second windstorm hit, one of the replaced shingles tore and after a couple calls, I have given up trying to get these guys to repair the shoddy shingle installed. If they would back up their work and parts, I would rank them much higher but if a company isn't willing to do that, there is no reason to work with them.

Pro Plumbing was directed to me from my usual plumbing contractor that I deal with and I was not disappointed. After two extremely courteous phone conversations, a plumber was on site on time to take a look at my hot water tank that was having issues lighting the main burner. While the fix was rather simple, the service tech took the time to educate on proper maintenance of my hot water tank. The service tech was polite, considerate, and professional. I would identify him by name but I can not locate it on the bill. Speaking of the bill, I was charged exactly what I was quoted, no surprises. I would recommend this company any day. Called up AC Roofers on a Monday and had the work competed on a Thursday. Had a disconnected down spout, a gutter that needed to be redirected the length of the house and fascia repair. Everything was done in a timely and professional manner. The price was very reasonable as well. Dealing with this company was simple and I would highly recommend for minor roof work as some of the "higher" rated companies recommended on here wouldn't even come to my place for a quote.

Alarmforce has been a great addition to our home. A very user friendly system and quick response times. The customer service department is very friendly. Ever since the system went in, we have had no issues. All in all, for the peace of mind it provides, it is well worth the very affordable price tag.

Basically was told over the phone I wuld have to wait a week for service. The next day, the situation got worse but it could have totally been avoided if I had spoke with a plumber instead of the dispatcher. $2000 in deductible later and a trashed basement, I would rather deal with a company that is willing to talk about my situastion over the phone so it doesn't get worse (which was the experience I had with the second company I called). In short, use a small company for a seemingly small problem. I think Butler are too big for the little guys.

Rick was very professional and knowledgable. I had a septic line back up issue and Rick took the time to talk over the issue on a Saturday morning to determine what water services I could and could not run. He showed up Monday promptly and quickly fixed the issue at a rate I had no problem paying. Thanks so much, Rick. You are our first call the next time an issue arises.
