I phoned the company and asked for someone to come and replace a single torsion spring on my garage door that had broken. They quoted me $33 service charge and a $125-175 fee which would include the service charge. When they arrived, they then gave me a quote of $285 and then recommended that I replace the cables for $120 as well which to me looked still in decent shape. Needless to say I didn't appreciate the discrepancy of 100+ % in the quote. I've also taken a look at how to do this online and the torsion spring costs as low as $60-70 on amazon to order. It's ridiculous that a company would try and gouge when they know you need something fixed and after they've already quoted you one price. I ended up paying the $33 and will look elsewhere for this service.

Initially I found water works on homestars 6 months ago to do a repair on an outside faucet that had bursted in the winter even though we had done the proper winterization. In prepping for the upcoming winter and going through my winterization steps, I realized the two valves for the two faucets outside the house did not completely seal the water. I had a slow leak which was probably the root cause of the first repair job I did with water works. I had them come back and fix these two valves. The quote was higher than what I had expected it to be (but I really have no frame of reference on cost) and Larry did a great job with the fix. The valves are now shutoff completely and my house is again winterized for the upcoming winter. I would recommend Water Works to anyone who's looking for quick response and quality repair.

Company Response

Hi Khiem. Thank your continuous loyalty. It was a wise decision on your part to call us to prepare your home for the winter as the burst pipe can cause tens of thousands of dollars damage to your home. We're always here when you need us, we are just a phone call or email away.

Thanks from Larry and the WaterWorks Team

Had them provide an estimate to me and the sales rep (Cy Goh) was extremely helpful and informative. I had 2 other quotes from other companies and Cy seemed to be the most knowledgeable. He encouraged me to get quotes from others and to compare. Though their prices are not the lowest, their expertise, service and the quality of their installation are well worth the price. We have not had any issues since installing this back in August 2014. All of the rebates were done for us without any hassles. The installation was done on time and the guys cleaned up after the work. Would not hesitate to recommend Spring Home to others!

We called this company based on their home star reviews to come take a look at our eavestroughs which were pooling water at the wrong places and leaking. They then commented that our eavestroughs had become misaligned and that we could use an additional downspout on one side. Also while inspecting this they mentioned that the roof had a leak at one spot which needed to be re-shingled and repaired. Overall they quoted me $1500-2000 on this. After thinking all of this over, they then quoted me a discounted price of about $1000. They patched the roof and then realigned the eavestroughs. 6 months later, I have a leak in the same spot that they patched the roof and the eavestoughs they re-aligned are now misaligned again. At the time I asked if they would warranty their work and they said they would but the technician did not write this on the receipt. I called back today asking for someone to come take a look as I'm experiencing the same issues I had before they "fixed" the problems and they're now telling me that they don't warranty their work, especially after the "winter we've had". Overall I spent $1000 with these guys and they won't warranty their work and wouldn't even come to take a look to see whether it was their work that was questionable. I would not recommend these guys to anyone or have them do future work on my house. [Edit] - Recently had our roof checked out by real professionals and they said that the previous eavestrough repair did not add the "brackets" that were clearly stated in our invoice as being added to secure the eavestroughs in place. No wonder our eavestroughs started to misalign again! DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. THEY DO NOT DELIVER ON THEIR PROMISE AND THEIR WORKMANSHIP IS BEYOND QUESTIONABLE!
