Day & Knight diagnosed that both the primary and secondary heat exchangers on a 10-year old Carrier high efficiency furnace required replacement. Carrier covered the parts under the 20-year warranty and a small portion of the labor. Austin from Day & Knight disassembled the furnace in order to remove the primary/secondary heat exchanger cell. He was extremely focused and organized throughout the job. He attempted to salvage the back outlet cell, but quickly determined that it needed to be replaced (in addition to the front outlet panel). The short time lost in picking up the part was regained by a significant savings in labor. Austin efficiently assembled and installed the new primary/secondary heat exchanger cell and reinstalled the remaining furnace parts. He was meticulous in checking/cross-checking his work for all aspects of the job. I highly recommend Day & Knight for your plumbing and heating needs. Both Ted and Austin are first rate and provide a professional, cost competitive service.

Leo and his crew were outstanding. In the space of four business days, they removed the existing 40-year old builder patio block walkway from the front steps to the city sidewalk. Then using their "Ditch Witch" and good old fashioned shovel power, they excavated for the new sidewalk. This was followed by forms and compacted gravel, re-bar and finally the concrete pour and finishing. They kept the work site clean and were very attentive to details. Overall a very professional job. I highly recommend Leo and his company for your concrete needs. All of the above work was also completed simultaneously for two other neighbors who were also very pleased with the job and the competitive pricing!

I called Reg, the owner/operator on a Friday. He was at my home first thing Monday to replace both garage door cables (one cable was frayed), re-balance the door, and then he conducted a basic check of the door for serviceability, followed by lubrication of rollers and the opener chain. Reg was excellent to deal with - he was very professional and offered advice regards some minor home owner maintenance for the future. I would highly recommend him for anyone requiring repair of servicing of their garage overhead door.

Outstanding customer service from Ted. After I had installed a replacement unit (which failed due to motor bearing issues), Ted diagnosed the problem and ordered/installed a new exhaust motor unit without any problems or issues. I have used Day & Knight previously to install new bathtubs in my main/master bathrooms and to replace my hot water tank and to install a new ball valve for the water shutoff to the house. They are reliable, competitively priced and thoroughly professional. Highly recommend them to anyone needing plumbing/heating service!

From the on site estimate to the tub install and valve rough-in for both the master and main bathrooms, I was very satisfied with both the service and professionalism of Ted Knight and his technicians, Matt and Gary, and I was particularly impressed with the fair and competitive pricing for both the labor and materials estimate. The Altrek acrylic tubs that Ted suggested fully met my needs and Matt/Gary did a great job in installing them along with the rough in for the valves and copper feeds to the shower head and bath spout. Overall I am very glad that I contracted with Day and Knight.

Daryl and Roger did an excellent job in removing and replacing the existing soffit, fascia and eavestrough for our house. The product quality was top notch, the installation very professional and Daryl was very close to the original estimate. He also recommended replacing some the vinyl siding under the dormer and installing gutter guard on the front of the house given the proximity to our trees. Overall an excellent job!

One of the springs from our old wooden panel garage door broke. After talking to the friendly staff at Glenmore Door Svcs, it was an easy decision to replace both the door and opener. Darcy, the door technician from Glenmore Door Svcs, was absolutely first rate. He was a consummate professional in all aspects of the job. He was super efficient when he removed the existing wood panel door, hardware and opener. He then quickly installed the new door, opener and weatherstripping, tested and adjusted the system. The new T12 door and 8360 Liftmaster opener are a quantum improvement over our old door/opener - the chain drive is whisper quiet (almost as quiet as a belt drive opener). The price for the removal, supply and install of the new door/opener was very fair and competitive. More importantly, the service far outweighs cost. I would highly recommend Glenmore Door Svcs to anyone considering replacing their overhead garage door or opener.
