My project was started by another arborist (who had applied for permit for me). The permit took me to the dead of the winter so I put the project off to spring but the arborist had left the country! So, I called Michel who sent his main climber Dave to asses the job (minus the permit requirements). They offered me a reasonable price and, considering the scope of my job and, Michel's crew had 2 climbers they were able to offer me a smaller duration to complete the job and this was important for me. Within days they were at my home and I must say that they were VERY considerate. I have had mixed experience with contractors in the past so, honestly, I was a bit suspicious because that is what my past experience had taught me. As complex job as mine was, there were supposed to be some snags but they were handled very well. I was notified each time and corrective actions to my satisfaction were taken. Michel (owner) is a pleasure to talk to. He made sure that I was assured of his teams skills, and intention of absolute customer satisfaction. He kept me apprised of the progress very appropriately. Over all, the whole team was considerate, professional, very clean and the experience worth recommending to others. Hence this comment.

I live in a 3200 square foot, bungalow. My furnaces and ACs are about 15 years old. The duct work and piping in this house is such that I have 2 furnaces, 2 air conditioners and 2 water tanks. So, even though one of each should be enough but I have to have two of each unless I renovate and re-install the ducts and piping. So, I wanted to replace 2 existing gas furnaces, 2 existing central air conditioners and a hot water storage tank. I called Reliance as I already had a rental tankless water heater with them. They gave me a quote for rental and we, Reliance Salesperson and I, both signed and countersigned the contracts. I was emailed the contracts and then the problems started. The installer came for pre-inspection. They sent me the full estimation from their installation of $5000 saying this is too much and I'll have to pay part of it. I refused since these are rental equipment and no one charges installation (I already had EnerCare go through the house). I even suggested that they may send another installer for a quote as this did not make sense to me. I was told that they'll do so but after much back and forth their final decision was to just send me a bill for the WHOLE amount i.e. $5000 before they'll consider installation. Their contract is worth sh*t. Just because they committed to doing a job and signed a contract does not mean they'll do it. In future, my recommendation will be to call someone else before you call them so that if they are going to push you to pay then you already know if they are being genuine or just pulling fast ones.
