Last April, I had my outside doors and basement windows replaced by Becker. The rubber weather stripping on the the front door had become to tear off. I called Becker and booked an appointment for a technician to come out. He arrived on time and replaced the weather stripping, and it was covered by my warranty.
My outside wooden steps had become unattached to my house. (The cement screws/plugs had fallen out.) I called Les and he came out and reattached my steps, fix a couple of the loose steps, and made sure my tv cable was safe (because it runs under my steps). I will call Les back!
I needed to change the light in my dining room because the old fixture was not working. I called Les the Handyman and booked an electrician to change it with my new one. I knew it would be a small job but I was glad that someone came out. They were on time and hooked it up. I will call again when I need to install ceiling fans for the summer.
I found Rudy on Homestars and gave him a call. He quickly came out to check our worn out chimney. The repairs went smoothly and quickly. The mortar was repaired and several cracks fixed. I would recommended Glenwood to all my neighbours.
Leak on the roof from a bathroom stack
I had been having a leak from a stack on the roof since the snow melted. I had contacted two roofing companies (because of signs I had spotted on the front lawns on my neighbourhood). One company never showed up, and the other sent me a company rep to give me an estimate to fix. I found Mr Roof Repair on the this website and gave them a call. Arthur came out on Friday May 15 (right before the long weekend) and replaced two stacks on my roof. I have waited this long to make a commment because I wanted to see if the roof still leaked with a few rain storms. No leak and the roof looks great. When I need to replace my roof, I will be calling Mr Roof Repair back.
I have a 7 foot by 4 foot mirror that was installed my home's previous owner. It had a large crack in it and I wanted to remove it so my son would not catch his hands on it. I called Paul and he was able to come the same day to remove the broken mirror (which was glued to the wall). Paul also patched up the marks left behind.
