We contacted Darrell to get a quote when we noticed a leak in our upstairs ceiling. Our roof was quite old and due for replacing, but given the leak, we knew we needed it replaced quickly. Darrell came by within 30 min of our call and provided a quote later that same day. Millwall was within the range of the other two companies we received quotes from (all ranked 9.9 or 10/10 on HomeStars) but was able to start immediately, rather than within a couple weeks as was the case with the other companies. The work was started as soon as the weather permitted, continued diligently and the workers left our property tidy at the end of the job. We would happily recommend Darrell and his team.

We had Kerry return for another interior paint job and were just as impressed the second time around. Kerry responded promptly to emails and phone calls and worked with our schedule to get the job done quickly and efficiently (ahead of the arrival of our first child!). We asked Kerry to paint our stairs (bannister, railings, etc.) and he worked with us and the Sherwin Williams rep to find the right products. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kerry (and have done so several times to friends and family) and plan to use Budget & Save for future paint jobs.

We called Rob at Pest Maven to help deal with our roof rat issue. We previously used a "budget" pest control person and he came by, set up traps, and visited weekly for three weeks to remove/replace traps as needed. Lo and behold, the rats were back within two months. This time, we wanted something more than just traps, so we called Rob. He was responsive, setting up an appointment time within a few days, and when he arrived, he was prompt, polite and knowledgeable. He looked around our attic, set traps, and then immediately spotted the hole the rats made to get into our attic. Rob installed a one-way door to allow rats out, but to prevent them from coming back in - no poison, no mess, and completely effective! We heard a little scratching a week later, but nothing since (we've been sleeping without earplugs again for about 2 weeks). Rob came by for a second appointment to ensure nothing was in the traps and to remove the one-way door and seal the hole, as well as to repair an area nearby where the rats tried to make another hole. Would not hesitate to call Rob again and will certainly be recommending him to our friends/family!

We were referred to EMT Gas Services through our chimney contractor after they had finished repairs on our house and we were experiencing hot water troubles and smelling raw gas. Mike was at the house within 30 minutes of being called and quickly fixed the problem. His prices were very reasonable for the work done and we would certainly recommend him.

We recently purchased an older home and contacted Kerry to do a small partial paint and colour consultation. Kerry promptly responded to our email and set up an appointment to visit the house to see the required work. He was extremely helpful in the decision-making process, both with colour choices and quality/finishes of paints. Kerry was also very enthusiastic about his work and the results show it! I've already recommended Kerry to my family and plan to use him for any future painting.

We recently purchased an older home and our building inspector listed various deficiencies with the plumbing. Emailed Paradigm along with a few other companies and Jon responded within 30 minutes and set up a time to visit the house to provide a free quote. Jon was prompt, polite and very efficient. He sent a quote immediately after leaving and it was very reasonable, and was able to stick to the quote when completing the work. Will be using Jon for a larger job in the near future.

We were referred to Robert through our home inspector to repair old electrical work in a home we recently purchased. Robert responded promptly to our initial email, came by the house to check out the work required and put together a proposal within a few days. He was great at explaining technical issues in layman terms and gave us options at different price points to suit our budget. When we decided on the work to be done, Robert was able to complete it with his assistant within a day and under budget. Will definitely use Robert in the future for our electrical needs.

Contacted Aedis Appraisals to prepare a fair market value appraisal for a single family detached home in Arbutus Ridge. Jason was very prompt in responding to emails and arranged an appointment date in short order. One of Jason`s associates arrived to perform the appraisal inspection and it was done within 20-30 minutes. The only reason for dropping the rating to a 9 was because we were advised that we would receive the appraisal report within a couple days and it took almost a week. Otherwise, we would highly recommend Aedis Appraisals.

We asked Sean to inspect an older home we were interested in purchasing. Sean was very prompt in responding to emails and was well-organized, sending over his contract for our review and explaining his and our responsibilities several days in advance of the inspection. Sean arrived on-time and began the inspection right away, explaining everything to us while he was completing the inspection. The garage of the house was full of storage boxes and unable to be inspected, so Sean offered to come back to inspect the garage for free once cleared out. Sean's report arrived quickly and was well laid-out. We highly recommend Sean!
