They did some work for me but were not able to finish the project completely so they gave me a guarantee that they were going to come back. When they did come back they sent another person who didn’t understand what was going on. So that person went back to get the person who originally did the job. No one ended up ever coming back and I believe the reason they gave me the guarantee was probably because it was going to end up costing them money. Despite the problems I encountered, the first guy who came did a very good job as he new exactly what he was doing. However, when they found out it was going to cost them $700 they decided to just give up. I was very disappointed.

We recently purchased a century home in a charming hamlet of Uxbridge, Ontario. Among the large projects we needed to undertake was to replace the shingles that were curled and blowing off the roof. We called around and got 3 quotes. We decided on Dillon Bros. Roofing as they seemed professional and experienced. So glad we did! Our roof looks outstanding. We have a dormer window at the front of the house and the siding had to be removed to facilitate the new shingles on the roof, this was an unexpected extra expense that Dillon Bros. did not charge for! Luke decided that the fake cedar shake siding would look the best and would add to the charm of the house, we were shown a sample and really liked it. I was impressed that there was no negotiation, he simply said the company would bear the extra cost of $800.00! The crew accidently cut through our internet cable and once again, no argument, they simply said have the cable fixed and send us the bill! It was a pleasure working with Luke and Lisa (the lady in the office). The cleanup was excellent, the crew worked quietly and energetically, Luke was around most of the time and was constantly checking the quality of the work being done. I would definitely recommend this company, they work all over the GTA and we did drive around to see some other homes where they had replaced roofs. Great company!

UDPATE TO THIS REVIEW: Only once we actually moved into the house did we realize that Andrew Christie was not thorough at all. He missed all the knob and tube wiring, the shoddy wiring by the previous owner and the fact that the plumbing was a disaster. We are out by thousands of dollars and I feel that if Andrew had done a better job we would have been forewarned. In hindsight I would not recommend him and would like to change my rating to 0. As we were purchasing a century home in the country we did some research and came across Safe Homes Canada, they specialize in century homes. Andrew Christie was very accommodating and we met him at the house. He did a very thorough inspection and provided us with a comprehensive report listing numerous critical and non critical fixes that needed to be done. He was forthcoming with recommendations and tips. He explained in detail what he was checking and why he was checking. He also offered to be of assistance throughout our renovation project. We were totally satisfied with his service and would recommend him highly

We only had about an inch on insulation in our attic. The house was cold and the furnace was working overtime. I called Dominion Insulation Inc. I was given great advice, booked them and now our house is cosy and warm. Very impressed with their service

The airconditioning pipe was leaking into my basement. I researched Homestars and contacted Water Works Plumbing. The response was quick and the repair was done neatly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend Water Works and would use them again

We hired Ultra Landscape in 2004 to replace our deteriorating asphalt driveway and build a walkway to the front door. Thomas was fantastic! He had great design ideas and we decided on brick pavers. The work was extensive and he did a very thorough job. The crew was young, energetic and polite. The end result is most attractive and we have had many compliments. When we decided to do the back patio, we once again contacted Thomas. Again he created a unique and visually pleasing patio for us. Thomas was always happy to go above and beyond to satisfy us and ensure happy customers. Highly recommended.

We bought a 3 Seater Sofa and a Love Seat from this location approx 18 months ago. The foam was "guaranteed for 1 year" the frame of the furniture is guaranteed for life. What a joke - within the 1 year, I complained that the one seat had subsided dramatically compared to the rest of the seats. La-Z-Boy sent a technician to look at my problem and decided that the flattened foam was not a manufacturer's default. I am flumoxed - We are only 2 adults in the house and usually only relax on the recliners in the evening when watching TV. The seat that has subsided is the one I usually sit in. I don't even weigh 140lbs. No amount of negotiation with this company could get them to rectify our problem. We met with an absolute NO! We are redocorating the rest of our house now and are looking for a suite for the upstairs lounge. No matter how much I like the La-Z-Boy furniture designs - I would not touch this company again. Would certainly not recommend them.

The ducts in our home had not been cleaned for 10 years. Paul arrived an hour late but did a great job of cleaning the ducts and explaining the process. He worked quickly, cleanly and efficiently. I would certainly recommend this company.

Thanks to Homestars we are ecstatically happy with our new roof. Smart Roofing Inc had very high reviews on Homestars and I am so glad I found this website - we could have had a very different outcome. Word of mouth has always been the best way of advertising and that is what Homestars provides.

Our shingles were curling and blowing off the roof and the eavestroughs needed replacing. I called around and ended up getting 5 quotes. We chose Smart Roofing because Mario seemed so truthful in explaining the technology and the expectations post replacement. His quote was not the lowest and not the highest. I was concerned because I had heard some horror stories about roofers. The crew from Smart Roofing Inc was fabulous, they worked quietly and neatly and answered any questions I had. Both the roofing team and the team that replaced the eavestroughs were energetic and polite. They cleaned up all the debris and ensured our garden was free of nails. Our roof looks fabulous and I highly recommend this company they are a pleasure to work with.
