I was having issues with a self-installed 3-way switch. Andrew responded right away and was able to come by the next morning. He gave me a reasonable an estimate of the work's cost and then proceeded to correct the issue. As it was done quickly he did another installation we had planned to do in the future. He was good at explaining at the work that was being done, what the original issue was, and how to avoid it in the future. I would definitely contact him again for electrical work. My quote included the service call, labour, and purchase of a 4-way switch. Between making my booking and Andrew arriving, I received a quote from another electrician that was higher than Andrew's, and did not include the 4-way switch.

Centennial Glass did a fantastic job installing a dog door (ordered separately) into my sliding glass patio door. They were very quick in responding to our questions about whether such a service could be provided and they gave us a solid quote with all the expenses broken down. It wasn't cheap, but the job that they did was well worth it and much simpler than a competitor company that we also had in for an estimate. We had two site visits from Centennial, the first to remove our door so they could replace the glass and put in the glass with the dog door, and then the second appointment a few days later to install it. The staff that came out to our home both times were incredibly professional. Our glass door was difficult to remove due to the unusual frame but they didn't give up, and called in a more experienced veteran who showed up right away to try and figure out the problem. Replacing the glass door was much simpler, but I appreciated that the staff stuck around afterward to try and help figure out how I could replace the lock keeper that I had misplaced. Ended up finding it shortly afterward but it was very nice of them to help out even after they had completed their part of the work. The door itself works fantastic, they did a great job and we're very happy with the finished product.

X-treme were contracted through Home Depot to install eavestroughs for me a couple of years ago. The eavestroughs have done the business since then and we are satisfied with the final product. I would be hesitant to recommend the company though, as we discovered that the downspout was installed right over the kitchen vent, causing the flaps to be unable to open. It was baffling that the installers didn't realize that placing a pipe right over the flaps would stop them from opening, and I don't see how it could have been missed (the vent is clearly there). After a phone call to explain the situation someone did come out and adjust the downspout to avoid the vent. So in the end it was resolved but it never should have been installed over the vent in the first place.

After having problems with both my HVAC unit and furnace, I opted to get the Reliance monthly protection plan, which includes annual maintenance for both units, following good service after calling them out for an issue. I've had the plan for a few years and every one of the techs that comes out has been professional and within the confirmed time range. Only one has tried to up-sell me on a new system and he didn't push it when I declined. The reason for the lower score is because of the customer service over the phone. For one thing, giving your phone number to Reliance will ensure that every month (or more frequently) without fail, you will be phoned by Reliance to ask how old your furnace is. Even if you tell them the first time, they will phone back the next month to confirm that your furnace is aging at the same speed as everything else on this planet. No amount of begging or pleading will get you off this list. Believe me, I have tried. They always say I'm off the list but the very next month they're back at it again. In the end I have just blocked the number. Second, and less annoyingly, is that often when I call to make an appointment the customer service rep seems confused as to why the previous appointment only looked at one system. I prefer to have maintenance for the furnace before the winter and the HVAC before the summer, but this sometimes causes no end of confusion. It's always been worked out, but surely I can't be the only person who does this. Overall I've been satisfied with the service, but my interactions on the phone could be a lot better.
