Ive used Convertible Air multiple times over the last decade, so when our 20+ year water heater bit the dust, we gave Convertible a call for a tankless model. They had the best price (just like they always seem to do) on the same make and model that other vendors were charging SIGNIFICANTLY more for. During the install they didnt think they could vent the heater out the wall that we wanted it vented. When we said the venting location was important to us, they called the manufacturer and figured out a way to get it done. Over the last decade Ive purchased a furnace, central air and combination tankless water heater & boiler for another home, all from Convertible Air. Ive never had any problems with anything theyve ever sold me and they are always helpful and informative when they come to do routine maintenance. When its time for a new HVAC purchase, do yourself a favour and get a recommendation and a quote from Convertible Air, then shop around for comparison pricing. Id be shocked if anyone beat their price and they keep everything running like clockwork. So what else do you want from a vendor?!

I recently hired Turnbull Masonry. They were the only masonry company I interviewed, who had a solution for all of my problems. Problems that 2 other masonry companies had left me with. PROBLEM: PORCHES I had put in new sidewalks made of natural Banas stone and wished for my new porches to match. The previous masonry company had said that wasnt possible, so suggested gray parging instead. It looked pretty decent when the work was first completed, however within a couple of months, the gray colour began to run which looked awful! So they said they would redo the work, but I should add acrylic sealant to keep the colour from running. However a few months later, the colour had run all over again. Then they stopped returning my calls. When I contacted other masonry companies for a fix, they said unless you remove the acrylic sealant, theres nothing we can do for you. TURNBULLS SOLUTION - PORCHES Clint quickly identified why the parging had failed, explaining that the weather must have been too cold. It was indeed done in late autumn. Clint detailed how he would remove the acrylic sealant and said there was absolutely no reason I couldnt have the Banas porches I had wanted all along. Zubair did the work and the porches now look exceptional. I have since received MANY compliments! PROBLEM: RETAINING WALL BORDERS I had poured a concrete perimeter at the top of 2 retaining walls, to attach a glass safety railing. The previous mason had suggested that gray parging would improve the look and match the porches, however the parging suffered the same fate as the porches, complete with hard to remove acrylic. TURNBULLS SOLUTION - RETAINING WALL BORDERS Clint suggested sanding off the acrylic on the concrete border and then to continue sanding, so Id end up with polished concrete. Ive seen polished concrete floors and think they look amazing, so this seemed like a great solution. Jason from Turnbull worked diligently on the sanding, which is back breaking work. They look incredible and exceeded my expectations! PROBLEM: BRICK WORK I had enlarged several windows, so the window company sent a masonry company to do the required brickwork. The work itself was fine, however the mortar they used didnt match the mortar on the rest of the house! I was told I needed to give it time to cure, however after paying my money and waiting a couple of weeks, it still looked the same. Then the company would no longer return my calls. TURNBULLS SOLUTION - BRICK WORK I had Turnbull repoint the bricks around the windows, so the mortar would match the rest of the mortar on the 85 year old house. To my surprise, the new mortar didnt match either! So I phoned Clint, explained the situation and he said not to worry, that they would fix it. Youll never get a perfect match with older mortar, but its now much much improved. While they were changing the mortar colour, that also removed a lot of old mortar on the face of the bricks, which made them look dirty. So in the end, they turned out way better than I expected! TURNBULL MASONRY EXPERIENCE My experience with Turnbull Masonry was a 10 out of 10. Its true that they made a mistake on the mortar, but they owned up to it and did right by the customer. This gives me even greater faith in recommending Turnbull to others. Thanks again to Clint, Zubair and Jason, for their amazing work and for putting the customer first! Turnbull is a family business. They are knowledgeable, professional, extremely talented and a sincere pleasure to deal with. I could not recommend Turnbull Masonry more highly!!

Im doing a major renovation on an 85 year old home, to turn it into a high-end rental property. So aside from simply getting the house freshly painted, there were some old house challenges. I selected Ronaldo from Santos painting for a number of reasons. Upon first meeting Ronaldo, I could tell that he genuinely cared that the result would be exceptional. Instead of trying to maximize the size of his painting contract, he explained that I would be better served replacing the main floor trim, as new would look better and cost less than a painstaking restoration. I didnt wish to replace the fireplace mantle due to its antique design, so Ronaldo did an amazing job of making it look like new again. He did an impeccable job of prepping for the work and literally papered and taped my entire floor. He paid great attention to detail, such that the work looked outstanding and there was no paint where it didnt belong. Ronaldo is also extremely helpful. When I had to make some unexpected holes in the drywall and my drywaller was unavailable, Ronaldo fixed the drywall for me. When I needed someone at the house to receive delivery of the appliances, he changed his schedule, so he could be there that day. When construction waste was overflowing, Ronaldo took it to the dump. My designer who I use to make style choices, agreed with all of Ronaldos recommendations. So if you could use a little help picking which shade will bring a room to life, Ronaldo has an eye for it. If someone asked me to recommend a painter, Id recommend Santos painting in a heartbeat! Great attention to detail. Fairly priced. Helpful and reliable. Meets deadlines. Does staining as well as painting. Genuinely nice guy.

When my mom started getting older, she needed an agency to come into the home to provide care giving services. When they came to do an assessment, we were told that the clutter needed to be removed before they'd be willing to do the job. Given mom was in poor health, she needed someone else to do it, someone suggested a junk removal service. We looked at homestars and decided on 1hrjunk. All we did was organize stuff into piles, put post it notes on the piles we wanted removed and watched/supervised the guys hauling it away. I've seen ads for these companies before and always thought what a great idea it was. These guys did a great job and made what seemed like a really daunting task - simple as can be. Would strongly recommend giving the clutter bug in your life the gift of a junk removal service :)

Very satisfied client here. Bought a house that had screwy wiring on some light switches. Professional friendly services, good clean up afterwards and a price which didn't break the bank.
