We relied solely on Homestars' reviews when we contacted Irene at EkoCouture. The consistent 10 star reviews she and Viggo receive on Homestars are well deserved. They offer competitive pricing for superb workmanship and are a pleasure to work with. Their reliability and punctuality are just as described in the other reviews, and the sheers which they installed are simply beautiful so it is no wonder that every review rates them a "10".

Redford and his staff did a phenomenal job of refinishing our dining room set and stripping and re-staining our kitchen table. Their work was perfect and they were a pleasure to deal with. We are so grateful to a friend who recommended the company, based on her knowledge of Redford's expertise in restoring fine antiques. We would not hesitate to recommend them as well, and will call on them in the future if we have any need of furniture restoration.

From our first meeting with Marian, it was clear we had made the right decision and the rest of his crew proved to be just as polite, friendly, efficient as he is. In more than 47 years of marriage, we have moved several times, and Toronto Pro Movers are by far the best company we have ever used and extraordinarily well priced. We have experienced some moving "nightmares" in the past, most recently when we used another mover to take the things we are consigning to an auction house in Toronto. How we wish we had used Marian and his team. It is no wonder Toronto Pro Moving and Storage get such rave reviews on your site and if we could, we would award them more than a "10"

We hired Willis Lloyd on the basis of the positive reviews we read on Homestars and were not disappointed. He was punctual, efficient, a skilled workman, and unlike so many other workmen, he cleaned up beautifully after finishing the job. His pricing was very fair and we will not hesitate to call him again because we were very pleased.

We also hired Trevor Shand based on previous work he had done at out home (since we had forgotten that initially with that job we had made "stop payment" on the first cheque we gave him when he failed to show up to do the work). This time we were foolish enough to give him half the amount up front, with an agreement that the rest would be paid upon completion of the job. There were several days of promises, none of them fulfilled, and continued false promises on his part as to when somebody would come to do the work. (When 2 workmen showed up one day for about an hour, they in fact did more damage and necessitated further more expensive repairs to be done.) They never returned, nor did Trevor. He has now been served with our claim in Small Claims Court (requiring extra expenditures on our part). In the process we found that the license quoted on his business card expired a couple of years ago. I certainly understood the last review posted on Homestars in May. Unfortunately I didn't read it before going ahead with a verbal contract and giving him a deposit of $800 on work that was never done.

Peter has done repairs for me in the past, and has always proven to be reliable, punctual, and a skilled technician. When I called upon him the other day about a leak in my dishwasher, he made time to come the same day to assess the problem and order any parts before the long weekend. After looking at the dishwasher and seeing another potential problem that would manifest in the near future, he suggested we buy a new machine instead of putting money into the repairs. He had no vested interest in making a suggestion as to what we should look for, and let us know about a special price available at a particular store on a machine he thought would be a good choice. I feel that other servicemen may have gone ahead with the fairly expensive repair, and would have also known that a future repair would be necessary as well. When my husband had some questions about the replacement, Peter returned our message almost immediately, and again was more than generous with his time in giving my husband an explanation. While I always consult "Homestars.com" for recommendations, I have never before posted a review. In this case I felt compelled to do so.
