My air conditioner began leaking in my basement and it was an old model that originally came with the house. I was concerned about having to replace it and called around for quotes. Other companies would only come at least two days later and I was concerned about being without air conditioning in the summer heat or taking a chance and running it with the leak until someone could look at it. Max from Aire Max promptly arrived that same evening to look at it and quickly cleared a block in one of the hoses. It has been working just fine ever since. Thanks Max for a great job!

Our planned kitchen renovation was a large project and more than 13 years overdue. We contacted several kitchen companies for quotes. Most of the other companies would not provide a one-stop-shop service and required us to deal with multiple contractors to complete our planned renovation which included a new kitchen, laundry room and new flooring in the living room, dining room and main foyer. Enter the Home Improvement People. They were a pleasure to work with over the past five months. From the initial estimate by Phillip, they showed themselves to be thoughtful, responsive and took our needs into consideration. Charlotte did a great job leading the design work and constantly thought of new ideas and helped us avoid pitfalls. Larry was an excellent project manager. He and his crew were on time, courteous, straightforward and considerate in all that they did and expertly naviagted several obstacles involved with the removal of existing walls in order to ensure that we had a fully open-concept space in the final product. Our new living room, dining room and kitchen now look great and we are grateful for the excellent work by the Home Improvement People. We would recommend them highly for any home renovation.

I hired Larcon Structural to remove a load-bearing wall and another non load-bearing wall from the main floor as part of a renovation. Holden and his team were a pleasure to work with. Larcon clearly specializes in wall removal, cares about the quality of their work and the customer, were always available to answer questions and took the time to ensure that the job was well done and that any concerns were addressed quickly and effectively. Holden's team worked efficiently, making sure that their work area was tidy and dealt with the City inspector as needed. The pricing of the work was in line with the other quotes that I got but Larcon demonstrated upfront that they wanted to do the job right and took care of all the approvals and permits needed. I highly recommend Larcon for structural work and will not choose anyone else on future renovations requiring wall removals. Thank you for a job well done. Dino

Our roof was leaking badly and I called about 5 roofers for quotes before finding Jason Hunter from Canadian Roofing. Most roofers I spoke to were only interested in closing a big sale in the shortest possible time frame and didn't make the effort to simply or adequately explain the situation I was facing with our roof. Some didn't bother returning calls and emails and one roofer actually charged for coming over to see what the issue was. Jason Hunter the owner of Canadian Roofing spent 3 hours of his time during the first visit, explaining the issues with the roof and focused on keeping costs to a minimum which I appreciated very much. He actually climbed up on our roof 3 separate times during that first visit to further investigate certain issues. Jason's quote was the lowest and by far the most detailed and he also gave us some thoughtful options to consider that were not required but could be considered if we had the budget for it. Jason's demeanour was very easy going and professional and he took the time to explain clearly and in detail, all of the work that he was proposing to do. He also suggested that I get additional quotes from other roofers to benchmark his quote against - such was his confidence in his estimate which only impressed me further. Despite some bad weather, Jason and his team arrived punctually and replaced the entire roof in sections over a period of days and then replaced the eaves. Jason visited the house on multiple occassions to personally supervise the work and kept me informed of issues as they cropped up which gave me peace of mind that the job was being completed properly and on time. I also did not have to pay anything until the job was completed - such was his confidence in the qualty of his team's workmanship. Jason's team was also very professional. They worked in terrible weather and kept their worksite clean and tidy. After the job was completed Jason visited again to personally attend to some minor matters. The house looks great with the new roof and eaves and my experience with Jason and his team has been nothing short of exceptional. I would recommend Jason very highly for his customer-focused service and quality workmanship. I hired A&F Duct Cleaning to clean out my ducts and dryer vent after completing some renovations. Francis was very professional, arrived on time, explained everything that he was going to do and did a very thorough job of cleaning the ducts. This is the second time that I've used him and I appreciate his quality work, his good nature and fair pricing. I would recommend him without hesitation.
