The service for this was great. The installer did a good job laying the floor. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable when quoting the jobs and when making suggestions about what tiles to use. When one tile cracked it was repaired promptly the next day. It always seemed to be busy when we went into the store.

This company gives you a low quote up front and then changes it when they arrive. I was not at home when they took the TV away. When I talked to the owner about the increase in price he gave me a used car salesman/politician pitch about how great a deal it was, even though other junk removal services gave a lower price then their final price. Do not trust their quotes. I will never use this company again.

I hired Mr. Handyman to do a basic basement renovation last year. They are the worst contractor that I have ever dealt with. The job consisted of installing insulation and replacing ceiling tiles in the basement. These are two jobs that I think are pretty basic for contractors to do. A month after the ceiling tiles were installed a number of them fell onto the tenant who was renting our basement. They came back and stapled the tiles again but these started to fall a couple of months later. They came back a third time and put them up again. So far they have stayed up but I will not be surprised if/when they fall down again. The insulation that they installed was not sealed properly. They put some cracker board on it but this also started to fall down. When this was brought up to them they chose to threaten us by saying some other items were not up to code in our basement and that a house inspector would see this. They refused to look into fixing this. In conclusion this company does not care about customer satisfaction and has poor work quality standards. I would not recommend them to take anyone’s garbage out even if it was for free; and I would definitely not recommend them for any renovation on anyone’s house.

The guy that performed the inspection was timely and polite. However numerous window companies have told me that the building inspector should have caught a new window that was improperly installed. It should have been noted when we bought our house. We talked to Carson Dunlop and they said that they do not check for any building codes and that they do not do a thorough inspection of households. My suggestion to others considering Carson Dunlop is to get a family friend that knows a lot about construction to do the inspection. Carson is just there to get your money. It was a waste of $400 and it probably cost me about $2,000 - $3,000 in potential savings on the cost of the house.
