Go someplace else there are plenty of cabinet companies out there. STAY AWAY from CR Technical Wood Working. We had a custom vanity made by this company with flat front panels and 8 drawers and a tip out where the sink is. The vanity was to be 72” after a top is installed. At first all was good. Went in, made the design with a rep, and placed the order. It was just shy of $5000 for this vanity. I chose to save some money and decided to install myself as they wanted $500. I picked up the vanity that came in 3 pieces brought it home and when I was ready to install it, I discovered that the vanity was 71.5” long without a top. This would make the cabinet 73.5” with a top. It was too long for the space, so I emailed the company. At first, they tried to blame me for not telling them that there was something that would be in the way if the vanity was not to exact dimensions. I replied telling them that in the drawings there is no indication that the cabinet would be bigger than 72” overall and that the contract clearly stated 72” vanity overall. I also would like to point out that when you order a custom vanity from them the contract has to be initialed by the buyer to acknowledge any errors on my part are my problem and that you agree with the design and drawings. Which I did. But when it was their fault, they still tried to blame me. Finally, after some back and forth they offer a fix and want me to bring the vanity back to them so they can modify it to 70” so overall will be 72” with a top. First this was not my mistake they should offer to pick it up. Second we decided that what ever their plan is to modify, we risk them messing up the look or design, so to avoid any disappointment I offered to move some plumbing and shrink the bathroom door a size down to allow space to fit the vanity as it was. In return I asked for them to come install it to make up for their mistake. They agreed. On the day of installation, I was booked for an installer between 8-11. No one showed up. I called after 11am asked what was going on. I was told the installer was going to be late and would be there by 2pm. Still no one. I call again finally someone shows up at 3pm. Not one time did I get a call to let me know they would be late. This installer gets to my door and says. “I’m here to install a kitchen”. I said no you’re here to install a vanity. I let him in show him the 3 vanity pieces and he said to me “How does it go together” I was struggling to keep from saying something rude as why is he asking me how to assemble it. After I show him which parts go where he gets to work. First mistake he makes he starts to cover a power outlet with the vanity, so I stop him and tell him he needs to cut out an opening for it. He does and makes the opening not only too big but offset to the receptacle. No big deal I said. No one will see it. The bottom of the vanity has a toe kick, but it is inset way back to give the vanity a floating look. When the installer went to cut the toe kick, he blurted out a measurement. I said “I don’t think that is correct. He said no its good. So, I said to myself let him cut it and find out the hard way. He cut it and it was too short. Now he gets on the phone with his boss who tells him to remove the vanity from the wall to modify the cabinet to make the toe kick fit. I said no you will not do that. Then he says he can use two pieces to make it long enough. Again no! The piece was long enough until you cut it too short. Finally, he says he will need to come back with a new piece another day. I walk away for a few minutes because my frustration is reaching its limits, I come back, and he is poking holes in the drywall with a sharp awl. I said, “are you looking for studs?” He said “yes”. I said, “use a stud finder, that sheet of drywall is a sound barrier drywall and cost $80 a sheet I don’t need unnecessary holes in it”. He said don’t have a stud finder. I gave him mine. Then the worst part happens. He spent 2 hours trying to line up the drawers. Messing with the slides, drawer faces, flipping drawer locations no luck. Tells me he has only been at it for a year, so he left as its now 6pm. Next day I wait for CR tech to reach out. Nothing. I send an email. Still next day no response, so I called got on the phone they tell me they will send someone else out who is there best installer. A guy comes out a week later struggles with aligning the drawers, still cant fix it and tells me have the top installed when there is weight on the vanity some drawers will settle and if that doesn’t work we will come back to fix it. I did exactly that, that did nothing as I expected. Again, I sent CR Technical an email to have someone come out again. No reply, days go by I call, left a message no response, I called again finally got a response. A week later another person show's up struggles at it for a couple hours asks me to have a look and I said they don’t line up, one drawer hits the gable when closed, the other two drawers hit each other when fully opened together, another drawer closes flush on one side and sticks out on the other side. And the tip out drawer rubs the top of the drawer below it. You could clearly see how frustrated he was and said, “I don’t know what’s wrong with them, I’ve tried everything”. He said he would go back and tell his bosses to see what to do next. I was very clear that this was holding up my reno. I was now behind 2 months because of the vanity issue and could not demo my other bathroom until the issue was dealt with so please let me know soon what the next step is. I waited a week no response, I emailed twice, One very nasty email. Still no response. I called got no answer, so I left a angry message. Finally, a day later I get an email response. Good afternoon “I apologize for not getting back to you earlier. When I was at your home I took pictures of the drawers and the mechanisms. I showed it to my superiors and they told me to send them to our blum rep. They looked over the pictures and they did not notice anything out of the ordinary. They said that all the gaps are within industry standards. My superiors agree with them that the gaps are within industry standards, and they have told me that there is nothing more we can do.” Regards, Really drawers hitting each other when opened all the way and drawer faces hitting the side of the gable when closed is an industry standard. I doubt very much Blum would say that. I have a walk-in closet with Ikea cabinets and not one drawer is out or operates like the crap CR technical made. This company is incompetent at aligning drawers. They will come out to attempt adjustments but when they can’t or becomes too costly for them, they will blame something else and leave the customer with an inferior product that they have to live with or fix some other way. I don’t normally write reviews, but this was a very expensive vanity and I hope to save someone else from having any heart ache as anyone who has done a reno before can tell you there is enough stress to deal with you shouldn’t have to deal with incompetent companies like CR Technical Woodworking., if your see positive reviews for CR Technical Woodworking it may be these people were fortunate enough to not have issues. Just be aware if you deal with them then you will have to live what you get. As for you owners at CR Technical Woodworking I believe in Karma and what goes around come around. Your company wont last if you keep up this type of service.

When I started out with my home Reno my biggest concern was who to call to remove two bearing walls. Like most, I’ve watched many Reno shows like Holmes on Holmes and have seen the nightmares some people have gone through, even when the home owner has done there due diligence. I was referred to Tony (Mixed Designs Building Group) by my engineer. When I first spoke with Tony over the phone he was very friendly and up front and discussed what was entailed and approx cost. The first visit Tony came out to see my home and surprisingly offered other ideas to help reduce costs and still get the open concept I was looking for. After sometime considering the options I decided to go ahead with the original plan and have two steel flush beams installed. Tony came out and took measurements and we spoke about some issue that could arise when the installation began. One of them being that we may not be able to hide the steel posts that support the beams completely in a wall due to where the posts must land as per the engineer Drawings. Tony quickly offered solutions and even when i didn’t like it he didn’t give up, he just found another way to make me happy and still follow the engineer’s specifications. When the time came for installation Tony was on time every single day. He and his crew(Patrick) were very respectful of me and my home. They were always extremely careful when working and moving the lifts and beams in the house. They always tried to keep dust down and tidy while they worked. My house fought them almost every step of the way....Tony never gave up. Any other contractor would have given up and said that’s the way it has to be and walked away. Not Tony, he is meticulous...he says he has OCD..LOL. When he has a plan he will fight to the death to make that happen. He will not take short cuts. I myself am very handy and meticulous but when I said “your not building furniture “ Tony didn’t except that. Everything has to look clean and neat, even if it will end up behind drywall. Now that is a high standard that you don’t find in most contractors. Even when he thought there was no way around a problem but could see I wasn’t happy he called the engineer and found a way to make it work. Tony is very open and doesn’t hide anything. He made many phone calls during the week with the engineer and with some flooring suppliers to see if he could get me a better price and it was always on speaker phone. I could hear everything, there was never a thought that he was marking a price up or trying to hide something. He is very honest, excellent at what he does, and respectful. I can’t say enough about Mixedesigns . Tony is a TRUE PRO! who really cares about his clients and business reputation. I could go on and on... but I will just say this. If your someone who watches Holmes on Holmes and always wonder how do I find an honest contractor who will complete the job at the highest standards then look no further. Mixedesigns Building Group covers it all. Best of all they are Honest, Respectful, Cost is on par with other contractors and they provide a superior finished product that not many other contractors would be able to achieve because most other contractors don’t care enough to bother or have the skill set to achieve the high quality that Mixedesigns can offer. Thanks Mixed Designs I will be calling you for my other home Reno projects.

Great company! Had my roof done a year ago by Allstars Roofing and was very happy with them so I called them back this year to have a new porch roof shingled and have all the soffits, flashing and eaves troughs replaced on my home. They came right away to get the roof shingled so the wood would not be exposed to the elements for too long. Two weeks later they were at my home and replaced all the soffits and eaves troughs within the week. The guys were very respectful and cleaned up everyday. The work was completed and I’m very happy with the final product. There was a couple spots that needed caulking and they were back the next day. I tried to give them a check for payment before they were done and would not accept it until they complete all the work. That was very nice to see as they never put pressure on you for payment. Andy came by one day an I was mentioning a leak I have only when the rain hits the home in a specific way. The leak was not in anyway connected to their work. Andy came back a few days later and would not give up until he found the leak. He discovered that water was getting in from some old drip edge the builder had installed years ago. He applied some caulking and problem solved. He never asked for a dime. Andy is very nice, great guy and his team is very respectful. If your looking to have your roof work done or soffits give them a call you won’t have to worry about anything and price is very competitive. Thanks Andy

I’m very happy with Procrete. I had my front walkway and porch done in exposed aggregate along with a back concrete step removed and replaced. Brandon and the crew where great. They are very friendly and easy to talk with. Brandon listens to his costumers, he even changed the size of the back step after he had framed it in without hesitation. They are very neat, and always clean up at the end of the day. I wouldn’t hesitate to have they return for another project in the future. I also had my new and existing concrete cleaned and sealed by Brian who is great to work with. If your in the market for a concrete project you should give Procrete a call. You won’t be disappointed.

Called All Stars Roofing Inc based on Home stars reviews. I couldn't be more satisfied. Andy came to my home and gave me all the info I needed to make the right choice in shingles and colour. He never tried to sell me anything I didn't need. I had three quotes and All Stars Roofing came in the lowest with better quality materials and workmanship then I would have gotten from the others. The crew was great. They worked steady, safely, always cleaned up and checked for nails in my driveway and I can't say enough about the workmanship. Top Notch! Originally we were not supposed to change the flashing as it was ok but when the crew tried to remove the old caulking it was so hard it was causing damage so Andy called and suggested new flashing. The price was very reasonable less then half of what other contractors quoted, as he felt responsible that he was not able to remove the caulking as per the estimate. The new shingles, flashing and caulking look amazing. New vents look great! Overall an amazing experience. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family. If your looking for reputable and honest roofing company that stand behind there work make sure you call these guys. They should be at least on of the companies you call for an estimate. Thanks again All Stars Roofing!

I needed a home inspection quick as I was finalizing the purchase of a home. Micheal was very helpful at accommodating us. Micheal was on time and very professional. He went through the home thoroughly. Thanks to Micheal he noticed the furnace was rented and advised us to look into it as it may be expensive to get get out of the contract. We made inquires and sure enough it would have cost us $14000 to get out of it. That cost was now being paid by the home seller. At the end of the inspection Miecheal gave us a quick summary of his findings. We received a full detailed PDF of the inspection a few hours later. He was also very helpful when I called him to clarify a few things he mentioned in the inspection. He always made sure we knew that if we needed any more info about the inspection to it hesitate to call him. If you need a home inspection then consider 4sight inspections I'm sure you will be very pleased. Thanks Micheal!

Carmine, it was such a pleasure meeting you both. There are always little details like the rental appliances that we are on the lookout for and, in your case, that paid off. I am very happy that I was able to save you that considerable cost. Please remember, I am here for you for any other questions or anything else you may need.

Thank you again.

If your looking to have a new door installed on your home then look no further. Alex was excellent at providing us with the best options to replace two exterior doors. He allowed us to visit the factory were we could see the exact door we would get. Gabriel installed our doors and I can't say enough about him. He was very professional. He was always cautious to keep our home clean during and after installation. Entry Doors Toronto offers excellent after service costumer care also.
