From the moment I contacted Vancity Electric, they have had impeccably professional service. The sales rep gave me a complete quote, answered all my questions promptly, provided me with extra suggestions, and was upfront about some potential issues that may make the job larger than quoted. On the day of the job, the two electricians answered all my questions, were prompt, explained exactly what they were going to do, and worked hard to avoid the extra issues mentioned above. Vancity is not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for and I would hire them again for my next job.

Emil cleaned my chimney thoroughly as advertised. He found that there was some damage and that the chimney is not safe to use until it gets fixed. Emil suggested some fixes, but it was a little hard to understand what the different possibilities were, their approximate cost and what the other trade-offs are. If he had been more clear about what the different options are, I would be more likely to hire them back to complete the repairs. As it stands, though, I will likely get some other quotes first.

I had some rodents entering my house from a few places where there were gaps in between my foundation and wooden siding. I called David and he came out the next day, took a look around and was able to fix the problem quickly. He gave me advice and a few extra traps to make sure that any rodents currently in my house could be removed. At first I was a little skeptical since his service was cheaper than other contractors that I had called, but I think he did a great job.

I called Milani for a hair clog in our bathtub. John, the plumber was able to come in a couple of hours. He completed the work quickly and professionally. They are not the cheapest, but Milani does great work, has knowledgeable and courteous staff, and is trustworthy. I am giving them a 9/10, not 10/10 because other companies can provide the same service for less money (this was a very small job). However, I would still recommend Milani because I believe that they did an excellent job.

We have used Sean Caissie for various renovations around our house for several years. The biggest work he has done is to renovate both of our bathrooms. He has also installed light fixtures, doors, and other smaller jobs for us. Sean is skilled, hardworking, and very honest. Sean's rates are reasonable.

I received a quote from Milani for a replacement high efficiency furnace. The sales person was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions honestly. The installation was almost completely smooth except for two details: 1. The installer had some troubles installing my wifi thermostat and tried to convince me to go with a regular thermostat for a lower cost. I told him no and that he should just install the wifi thermostat as I asked. He did so with no problems. 2. The installer forgot to install a chimney liner, which was part of our contract. I called Milani the next day and they sent someone out to fix this with a big apology. Milani is an honest company, but that doesn't mean that you don't need to check up after them.

I have been using Home Smart for 5 years now. The work is always high quality and reasonably priced. Sometimes they are quite busy, so you must book services early.
