We spent a lot of time, perhaps too much, trying to find the right deal on the best furnace we could afford. We ended up getting pretty confused about who was telling the whole story and who was not. Most came in, but not all, saying bad things about their competitors. We did not know what to believe. Research on the Internet did not help much. Finally, I came across Wallteck Mechanical while searching for info on a particular brand of furnace. I had spoken to them previously about another matter and, as they were more-or-less in my neighbourhood, I gave them a call. What I realized at that point was that you were not buying the furnace as much as you were buying the person and their installation. Any decent quality furnace and AC will serve you well if it is installed correctly. Rob from Wallteck was great. He was thorough, informative and did not once say anything bad about his competitors. His price was very competitive (although it was all more than I expected it to be before I started this process), and Mirco and Alex did a great job on the installation, working with me to solve placement issue for the AC and adding in a cold air return in the basement. Rob was back to inspect and make sure everything was perfect and even waited around until well past quitting time, waiting for me to run to home depot to buy a ceramic bit to drill a hole through some ceramic tiles for the drain. Great customer service. Remember, buy the installation and service ... not so much the actual unit. We highly recommend Wallteck Mechanical. Truly, this is a great company that does what it says and does it very well.

Ron from Sensational Roofing came to us as a recommendation of another company that we use and trust. We needed the main vent on one of our two attics replaced with a larger one and new ones added to our second attic. I also needed a vent installed for a new fan I was adding to our new bathroom. Ron's price was fair, the work was done promptly and professionally. What more can you ask for. We will use Sensational Roofing again a d would not hesitate to recommend them again to anyone who asks.

As I have used Tony's company (Westwood Aluminum) before and was very happy with them, I decided to get them to install Gutter Guards in our eaves-troughs. We have a huge problem with out eaves because of the very large trees surrounding our home. Again, Tony did not disappoint. He gave me a fair price and completed the job quickly and efficiently. He even went the extra mile to thoroughly clean out junk that was clogging our upper trough. As always, great job, great service Tony. Thank you.

We had some unfinished soffit on one side of our home and had squirrels eat through the facia board in order to make a nest. We tried to get the job done before the mom had babies, for obvious reasons but had a hell of a time finding someone to come and do the job. We are in a three story home and most did not want to go that high. It was also complicated because we had hired a company to come by and do the soffits and siding, and had to get this done before they could start. We came across A Animal Removal, who seemed to have a good reputation and gave him a call to come by and give us just an estimate. Chris showed up when he said he would and by the time 15 minutes had passed, we had given him the job and he was working away at it. We liked his attitude, both the the quality of work, but also to the well being of the animals. We did not want the animal(s) harmed in any way. Unfortunately, the mother squirrel already had her baby so we had to put the baby into a box and leave it in a warm place, hoping mom would come back to retrieve it. In the meantime, Chris cleaned up and blocked all the openings and was done very quickly. Mom never did come back so we had to get animal services to come and pick it up. Chris even called back the next day to see how the baby made out. The price was fair, the work was great and the compassion for the animals was there. All good things to look for in a service provider of this nature. We recommend A Animal Removal to anyone.

When we bought our home, the south side, for whatever reason, had never been sided and there were no soffits. We didn't know why but maybe the owners at the time were fighting with their neighbours ( we are in a semi ). We then started to have animal problems so we decided it was time to do something about it. We shopped around ... both with larger companies and with small contracters and finally settled on Westwood Aluminum. They were not the cheapest, but they certainly were not the most expensive either. There was a certain honesty I felt when I spoke with Tony Curic from the company when he came by to estimate the job. He did not disappoint. His crew showed up within a few days, even after I had to delay the job once. They were courteous, efficient, professional and clean. The job was done quickly. Tony came by to check on the job after it was done and I noticed something that was not done. Truthfully, it was probably my misunderstanding but he agreed to come back and do it without complaining, which they did not too long after. He even came back after that to make sure we were happy. Good customer service along with top quality workmanship is a rare commodity these days but Tony and Westwood Aluminum have both. I highly recommend them to anyone.

We had a drain backup in the basement and, as we have only been in our house less than a year, we had never used a plumbing service before. I searched online for a service and at the top of the search, the DrainWorks link came up. I went to their site and liked the way it read. Besides, the owner looked like Patrick Roy!! Anyway, when I called, I was so impressed with the customer service, I almost didn't believe it. I wasn't sure I trusted it. We simply are not used to good customer service anymore. To make a long story short, DrainWorks customer service in this job was exemplary. They called back to confirm .. the drain specialists arrived exactly when they said they would, within and hour, explained everything, gave me a clear quote and completed the work as required and left everything clean. What more can you ask for? I mean, nobody wants to have a problem like this, but if you do, it is nice to know there are companies around like DrainWorks. Bravo! Dave
