The best. Good product. Good people. Good work. Good support. Replaced the old one and even fixed issues that were left from that one. They are our go-to for all HVAC now.

They were prompt, friendly and seemed to be going the extra mile with the work. We can't give them a 10 because the connection to the outside wasn't inspected and the weather-proof caps put in place. As a consequence, some time later we lost half the power to the house. When Hydro came, they ordered an inspection and fixed the problem. The inspector didn't charge us anything because he said Piper was supposed to call in the inspection in the first place. He also gave the impression that he would be taking up the matter with Piper and make them pay in more ways than one.

They seemed to be in a hurry and didn't want to do bother doing the best job. They even "recycled" one of our own switch covers from another switch in the house so they didn't have to go back out to get one for the new shut off. No interest finance was good but never again will we use them.

Scott has done work for at least 6 houses on our street and everyone will tell you the same story: quality workmanship at a reasonable price from clearly-dedicated folks. Not only were we delighted in the work but Scott was constantly volunteering great ideas. We can truly say that he went the extra 10 miles for us. And from seeing what's he's done on the street, no job's too big, no job's too small. We almost hate to share him with you...

We were impressed by the entire relationship. Our gas range had trouble. They came in and for a reasonable price explained how much the repair would cost (parts price made it questionable to repair versus replace). When we decided to replace, they also offered to cost the replacement. When we did buy new, they did the install sooner than quoted by the retailer and at a lower cost. In fact, they went out of their way to ensure we were not without our range! Fast, friendly, helpful and reasonable. What more do you need?

Where to start? They showed up immediately to quote which was good as the basment was swimming in sewage. When you're in that situation, you don't shop around. The next day, when they showed up to do the work and pushed me to get more work done, I started checking. I was not pleased. And my displeasure continued: 1) they charged over double the average I was later quoted 2) they did not get the inspector to come until they had covered their work. This I learned was because they had 'tunnelled'. The Inspector gave me a hard time because he couldn't inspect. 3) later they would not discuss the bill and ignored me. 4) they warned me that at any time, "Say, your daughter's birthday party", that I would have another backup unless they did more work at another inflated price. (Later from other contractors I learned that their reasons were 'bogus'digging under the porch would not be the problem they said.) Sure enough, I did have another back up and the next group, Mr. Rooter whom I will now continue to use, fixed the original problem that I believe Drain Rescue knew about but did not do. I believe they charged me for unnecessary work which they hid and left the real work to 'explode' and have to be done later. (Addition made November, 2008) My response to the company's eventual response: 1) Who am I? What records would they possibly be looking at to confirm they did this work or look up records of this complaint? Boris ignored us, how would they have any records of that? 2) They are even inconsistent saying this is an anonymous complaint, but they know they have no record of it. The only thing they took seriously was to look for more work, ensure they had to come back and to get their cheque cashed. This whole situation smelled as badly as the sewage that was in my basement. Oddly, their response has the same odour.
