Brian and his team are exceptional renovation and installation specialists. We contracted them for a full and extensive kitchen, bathroom, and dining room renovation, along with full removal and installation of a new 1st floor tile floor. We were aware that there are contractors out there who will cut corners, who will quote one price, and surprise you with another midway, who will turn your home reno dreams into nightmares. None of this takes place when you've got Brian's guys working on your project. We were fortunate tto have Warren and Dave assigned to us for the bulk of the work, and these guys were astonishing in the level of commitment and care they took on the project. They were thorough with the demolition, did what needed to be done to bring the house up to standard, worked above and beyond when presented with some unexpected structural and layout challenges, and then built everything back up to an exacting and professional standard. Floors, walls, fixtures, electrical, plumbing, and trim: all 100% top end work that clearly shows years of skill and knowledge. The project called for the installation of heated floors, and Brian brought in his own people to make sure the plumbing and heating systems could accommodate. The kitchen installation threw a number of challenges at the guys - nothing fazed them. Brian does NOT sub -contract: these are HIS guys, and theyve worked with him for years, decades even. THAT is something you want to explore with your contractor - how long has the crew been with the company? Ask too about your contractor's certifications - Brian's got a pile of letters after his name, all legitimate, all indicative of years of experience, study, and certification. He can accommodate client requests to the letter, and will tell you straight up whether your ideas make sense, or will be folly - he's not going to go ahead with something if he knows its going to result in problems later, or cost you far more than your budget, or is just plain stupid: he gets to know you, and keeps you focused on the core of your project. You can source your own materials, or let Brian do it; he'll take care of the kitchen , or you can Ikea it like we did - and the guys installed a kitchen that absolutely blew us away - better than we'd even expected. At the end of the day, it was pricey, but here's the thing: it was 100% worth it - we had ZERO contractor issues, ZERO sleepless nights worrying about craftsmanship or construction issues, ZERO issues with the project that weren't sorted or resolved right away. I cannot thank Brian, Warren, Dave, Chris, Eric, Ian, Simon, and the rest of the crew for the unbelievable and beautiful work they did in transforming our house into a home, and, you know what, transforming our life. These guys are good. Get in line. (Because we've got another bathroom for them to to do too next year! )

Bryce was professional, courteous, and got the situation sorted before i could even pop inside for the extra key (it was a broken key in a garage door lock). He then took a closer look at my Garage door set up (we've only been there three weeks) and made a few recommendations and additional repairs. I'd called a couple other locksmiths in the area, and they were all like" well have to replace the locking mechanism, it'll be 100s of dollars. Yeah . . . .riiiiight. Bryce is a consummate professional, and takes pride in his job and profession. No hesitation at all to recommend him. You've got a lock issue in Hamilton? Drop him a line.

Top notch service - booked online on a Saturday @ 10, they arrived at 12, quick, friendly, professional. They were conscientious of the fact we had no backyard access but through the house, took pains to make sure they kept the floors clean, and even offered to take more stuff at same price than what was initially quoted. They were in and out in about 15 mins, and actually charged less than original quote. a 10% online booking discount didnt hurt either. Good company; if they're hiring people like this, then they've really got their act together - the 2 gentlemen that showed up were certainly up for the job physically, but more than that, they've got great relationship building skills - friendly, personable, conscientious. That goes a long way above and beyond just delivering the service you've paid for. I'm highly likely to use their services again, and have already recommended them to several neighbours. They're a homestars # 1 in Junk removal for these reasons.

What could this company do to improve their services?
Think they've got it down to a proper business model.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Junk removal - give them a call. Nuff said.

Folks, please get EVERYTHING in writing with this company, particularly regarding what is and isn't covered in warranty. If you get your unit installed in spring time, TEST IT as soon as possible within the years warranty the next year, as this company has had a history of faulty installations leading to leaked/depleted freon, and once the year's past, you are completely out of luck. Chances are, you won't find out until you turn on your unit in the summer that a faulty install has led to the freon depletion. Take explanations for unit failure from their technicians with a grain of salt - the technician who deemed our unit defective said he thought a lightning strike was the cause. (not accepting the obvious, which was the freon leak and subsequent compressor failure on start up) Interesting theory given the unit's location between houses and the fact its 2.5 feet tall! Beware as well that the salesperson will likely NOT tell you about factory warranties and extended warranties, as to create additional revenue opportunities like the above once their own 1 year warranty expires. They are also just as likely to play 'he said, she said' about the manufacturer's own claims, will cite possible 'service bulletins' and will hang you out to dry in terms of assistance with warranty follow up and assistance. Overall, simply one of the worst big-ticket item vendors I've had the misfortune to deal with. And sad too, because a simple acknowledgement and apology for the situation would have sufficed,as well as some follow up calls during the entire process (i initiated all follow ups) but they've left me with such a sour taste I will do what I can to warn others in hopes of their avoiding my negative experience with them.

What could this company do to improve their services?
Communication and honesty and transparency about their services; willingness to admit issues with installation and reigning in technician's implausible explanations for obvious install and unit failure; upfront explanation of technical repair and get it in writing too.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Get everything in writing. Ask every angle of questioning pertaining to warranty and what is included. Present them with scenarios and ask/ write down their responses to what is covered. Consider alternate vendors or at least know you've been warned if things go south 1 year in with your unit.
