We called Rick at AC Appliance Repair when our fridge went on the fritz. He was there the next morning, and had the repair done in under an hour. He was fast and professional. If need be, we will be calling him again.

We hired Wes to remove one trunk of a elm tree which was falling over into our shed. He and his crew were punctual and polite, and did a great job for a very reasonable price. We wanted the wood, and he cut it as requested. The attached picture shows the 30+ slabs he cut for us (which are currently for sale on Kijiji).
We hired Andrew to cut up a very large trunk of a fallen willow tree in our back yard. It was twenty feet long and five feet in diameter at the thick end. He made special cuts as we requested, producing several willow discs (which we will use for outdoor table tops when they are dry enough). Andrew pointed out that the trunk had several burls, which are sought after by artists and wood carvers and could be sold. He carefully cut out the burls and left them in our care. All in all, Andrew was fast, courteous and professional. We are very happy with his work, and he will be our #1 choice for any additional tree work.
Hey Graham! Thanks for the great review, we had a great time cutting up that monster willow for you! I still have a hard time picturing that trunk floating down the river and landing in your backyard. I hope you get some good use out of those table tops and burls we cut up for you.

Bill did a wonderful basement renovation for us four years ago, and we were very happy with the results. The huge storm on July 8/13 deposited five feet of water in our basement, knocking out our hot water heater (a special unit which handles under-floor heating). When we called Bill to ask for a service person to inspect our heater, he rushed over the same day and installed one of his own electric hot water heaters to tie us over until our unit could be repaired. And he did this AT NO CHARGE. Bill is a great contractor, and a great person too. Thanks Bill (from the entire household)!
Thanks for the feedback. Just to let readers know, the flood was not due to improper waterproofing work of the basement originally, but due to a river in the client backyard, which rose up and flooded their yard with 2 feet of water- and then rushed down the stairs from basement walk-out and smashed, with force, through the basement door.
Client had had no problem with flooding or water infiltration before. We lowered the client's basement and finished it at least 3-4 years ago.
Note- We did not get 1 call from our basement clients with problems!!! That's either good luck or good work!

Rick from AC Appliance Repair came to repair our fridge after it had stopped working. He asked for details about the problem over the phone, and brought the necessary replacement part with him. The fridge was back in service in a couple of hours. He even patiently waited while we cleaned & vacuumed those areas behind the fridge that we don't get to clean that often.

We hired Bill to rebuild our crumbling chimney last year. The old chimney was removed, and a new one installed in two days. We were very happy with his work, so we hired him back this spring to replace disintegrating bricks at the top of our turret (above the 2nd floor). The entire top of the turret was rebuilt in four days. For both jobs, Bill found identical matching bricks. And both times, the cleanup was immaculate. We are very happy with the work done and have no complaints. There is still more brick repair to done at other parts of the house, and without a doubt, we will be calling Bill to do the work.

We had a leak in the flat roof area over our front hall. We called Ricardo from Accord Roofing. He came over the next day to take a look, and fixed it that morning, charging only his minimum fee for several hours of work. We are very happy and will definitely call Ricardo again for any more roofing work.
We called Dan to repair some ceiling drywall damaged by a water leak and to install an extra light in the basement laundryroom. Dan charges by the hour, yet works very fast. The drywall work was done very well - we can't even tell that there had been a repair, and the extra basement light was completely installed in under 20 minutes. We are very happy, and will definitely call Dan again for any other repairs.
