I have used their services in the past for my rental property and my parents house as well. And all the experiences were nothing but exceptional. So I decided to contact Nazar for an aluminum capping of my garage door frame. The paint was beginning to peel and flake off and it just doesn't look very good at all. The capping went well and it looks fantastic. Nazar and his brother Oleg arrived within the time frame that they promised. They are very professional, courteous and diligent. I do not hesitate to recommend them for any of your garage door related projects.

*** June 2021 Update*** It has been a few years since the initial installation. The stones have started to move a bit ( which is normal ) as the ground is moving etc. So I just reached out to them for a simple recommendation or advice on servicing them. And I have no heard back from them. I can only imagine if you need to contact them for any warranty. I can see from other reviews that I am not alone. They are fantastic when they are completing the project for you. But the customer response after the job is done....please don't expect too much. I have been trying to reach them for several months now...my emails and phone calls have not been returned. In hind sight, I really should have chose patterned concrete all the way. This is my bad and I am paying for that crappy decision right now. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I must say that I am a difficult person to impress. I blame this on my old age of course. But, I was thoroughly impressed by the first contact from Duralock. It was Karla the Sale/Project Manager. She struck me as a dedicated professional who was attentive to my needs. I must also commend her on her eye and flair for landscape design and the accompanying plants, shrubs and trees etc. She always answered my questions and followed up with me. I examined 5 quotes from other companies from Homestars and I found Duralock to excel in all the aspects on my project from first contact, to design, recommending the proper materials , providing me with sample products, meeting with me and my wife at their supplier to personally show us the colors and texture of the various stones. They definitely commanded my attention and eventually my business. I was thoroughly impressed by their attention to detail in every aspect. The project installation team led by Paul are professional and courteous. They arrived early each day and worked diligently along with the long hours with nothing but smiles on their faces. This is indeed a rare experience for me to see. So I must tip my cap off to this whole team. I would highly recommend them and I do not give my endorsements lightly. I have been a businessman for over 30 years and I am very pragmatic in my ways. But I endorse Duralock wholeheartedly. Thank you Duralock for a wonderful and stress free experience. I needed a new garage door opener as I have completely given up on the one I have because it was just giving me too many headaches. I saw the good reviews for Oleg and his brother Nazar so I decided to call them. Oleg answered my call immediately and we were able to schedule a time and day that was convenient for me. I had purchased a Liftmaster from a store. But in hind sight, it was probably a better deal to have Oleg supply the Liftmaster and do the install. I spent a bit more money going the retail route. But I will know for the next time around. Nazar arrive on time at 1:00PM and he is very courteous and knowledgeable. He completed the install within the hour and he even lubricated the springs and wheels for both my garage doors and he even cleaned up by sweeping the floor. I will definitely recommend them to anyone regarding garage doors etc. A+++ experience for me all the way.

I am very impressed with the professionalism and experience of John who is the owner. I originally called another well reviewed Locksmith on Homestars after reading the wonderful reviews. But when I called them, I got a message that the mailbox is full and I will need to leave a callback number in which I will receive a callback within 10 minutes. Well, I waited 30 minutes and I decided to move onto the next one in line and I am so pleased that I called John. He answered my call immediately and I was able to set up an appointment for the next day. John was punctual and he re-keyed my lock and cut me 5 new keys in a very quick and efficient manner. He has been in this industry for 20 years and his skill and knowledge definitely shows. This was a A++ experience for me all the way and I am glad to recommend John and his services to anyone.

I had an issue with my Samsung front load dryer because there was no heat at all while it was running. My friend recommended me to Sam at JSN to diagnose and repair the issue. I called Sam and he answered my call immediately and he asked me for details regarding the issue. He then asked me for the Samsung model and serial number and I requested a day and time in which Sam agreed to right away. Sam had an emergency that forced him to reschedule my appointment which was not a big issue at all. He showed up later on that evening and he completed his diagnostic tests and he concluded that the culprit is a faulty heating assembly. Sam brought the appropriate part with him and he completed the repair and testing in a very efficient and professional manner. He is very knowledgeable and his experience is commendable. I will definitely recommend Sam to my friends and family. He is an earnest, hardworking and committed business owner. This has been a A+++ experience all the way.

I must admit that I was nothing but impressed by the work, experience and attention to detail regarding my 75" LED TV installation over my fireplace along with a soundbar. I spoke with Anthony and from the beginning he qualified me correctly and he guided me to purchase 30ft HDMI cables which were just the perfect length as he suggested that he wanted to run all the cables under the fireplace and through my basement. This design worked like a charm. Anthony and Mike arrived exactly on time and they were personable, professional and courteous from the beginning right until the end. They even helped me vacuum the debris as well. My wife and I are just thrilled as the installation was clean and all the unsightly cables are hidden neatly behind the wall. I purchased a TV Wall Mount Kit from Anthony for $80.00 and he charged me for 3 hours of work. So you can do the math if you wish to calculate their hourly rate. My TV and soundbar were programmed and I was up and running. A very nice touch indeed. In my humble opinion, their rate is more than reasonable. It is a fair wage for a job very well done. I am very satisfied with their work and I will be more than delighted to recommend them to any of my friends and family.

I own a home made by Emery Homes " The Manors" in Brampton. I have windows installed by Jeld-Wen. Unfortunately, I have experienced a "spontaneous crack" on one of my thermopane windows. The window is a large one: 65" x 18" I contacted the builder and Jeld-Wen. I am out of luck because spontaneous cracks are only covered for 1 year after installation. So they are both off the hook. I was referred to Brad at All Wood Window Sales & Service for after warranty Jeld-Wen windows. I called Brad and he answered right away. Replacement installation was completed after a few days and I am happy with the service and professionalism. I am happy to recommend Brad to anyone. A+++ experience all the way.

It was finally time to replace the AC and furnace. Both incumbent units were Lennox. After 26 years of reliable and trouble free service, it was time to send them out to pasture and bring in something modern and energy efficient. So I decided to stick with the Lennox brand again because it has provided years of good reliable service. I had dealt with Brian at Stouffville Home and Comfort last year for an AC install at my other property and my good friend had also contracted Brian to replace his furnace, AC and tankless water heater. I have read nothing but glowing reviews on Red Flag Deals (RFD) forums and right here on Homestars as well. So it was a no brainer for me really. I contacted Brian and he arrived with Mitchell to assess my property. He recommended the Lennox XC14-24 (3 ton) along with the C33-31B Evaporator Coil and EL296UH070XV36B 2 Stage ECM Furnace and a Lennox Healthy Comfort 16-28 Merv 10 Media Filter. Installation date was set for August 1st and the install team led by Demitry was on time at 8:00AM. It was a crew of 3. They were able to remove my old AC & furnace and install the new hardware in about 4.5 hours. Everything went very well, the crew did a great job and they cleaned everything up. 2 thumbs up !!! There was an issue with the new hardware and the new thermostat. I decided to go with a Honeywell thermostat instead of going with the Lennox iComfort thermostat. What happened was that the AC and the furnace were going on at the same time....YIKES!!! Mitchell was sent later that evening to troubleshoot and a solution could not be found after testing the wires and replacing the Honeywell thermostat with another unit. So the furnace was turned off and the AC was allowed to operate as it was a hot and muggy long Civic holiday weekend. But it was later discovered that the AC would just run non-stop. The temperature was set to 23 C and the fan was set to auto. But when the inside temperature reached 20 C, the AC just kept on going. I contacted Brian and he was very quick to respond and address the issue. He contacted Honeywell and Lennox. The issue was solved. Apparently, the Honeywell thermostats energy saving function was conflicting with the Lennox software (ROM). I was never a fan of the Honeywell thermostats because their menu and functions are so difficult to access that one would need an Engineering degree from MIT to understand it IMHO. It is not intuitive at all which is surprising because these are Residential/Consumer thermostats !!! Well, Mitchell returned once again on the following Tuesday to install a Lennox iComfort thermostat and BINGO....the world is right again. My advice to future Lennox furnace buyers is to spend the little extra and get the iComfort thermostat an save yourself the possible hassle with software conflicts. It seems that every piece of hardware with their own proprietary software is becoming the norm now in my opinion. But I commend Brian and the team at Stouffville Home and Comfort for addressing the issue and solving the issue rather quickly. I can and have already recommended Stouffville Home and Comfort to my family and friends.

I was in the market for a new King size mattress. I did my due diligence with some research and I discovered that a traditional coil spring mattress is not suitable for my needs. I tried the Tempur-Pedic memory foam mattress. But the reviews are now that glowing due to some drawbacks such as heat retention and a very hard surface. So I decided on a latex mattress. I went to a retailer and the cost was about $1800 + Mattress cover + Taxes. Not much room to negotiate. I found Andy at Ton Furniture and I have met him before at the National Home Show last year. Great service from Andy, I met him a his showroom and manufacturing location in North York. I was very impressed. I love anything made in Canada. So here is the breakdown, I got the exact same king latex mattress from Andy for $1800...but that includes taxes, free shipping, one king size mattress cover + 2 Queen size latex pillows !!! If you are looking for a great Canadian made mattress along with the great price and customer service, then you have found the right place. Andy will take care of his business the old fashion way.....one customer at a time. How can one go wrong with that in this day and age ? Needless to say that this was a A+++++ experience all the way.

I must admit that I am not one who tends to write too many reviews. However, there are just some rare instances where it is completely justified. My tenant called me because the Samsung dryer has stopped working. I called Mark and he was able to arrive within the hour. This is my second experience with Mark and I am still very impressed with his professionalism, expertise and courtesy. The problem involved removing the dryer from it's "stacked" configuration...which is quite a workout in itself. The dryer was quickly disassembled and the problem was diagnosed and fixed in a matter of moments. A sock apparently fell through the lint trap it was caught in the motor. YIKES !!! Fortunately, there was no permanent damage to the dryer and Mark and his colleague quickly reassembled the unit and did a thorough test and everything was solved within an hour. Simply amazing. My tenant asked for Marks' contact information because her friend is also in need of service. So the old way of building business one customer at a time remains true here.

I looked around for a good deal on a KitchenAid 30" cooktop and I stumbled upon the Canadian Appliance Source website. It advertised a "Brand New Never Opened" cooktop for $499.00. This price is the best deal that I could find anywhere because it cost hundreds less than the cheapest model that I could find anywhere. Although this model is discontinued, it never bothered me because I was simply looking for the cheapest price possible as this unit is going to be installed at my rental property. The unit was in stock and it was ready for me to pick up from their warehouse very quickly. So I was rather pleased. The strange quirks that I discovered after I placed my order was that my purchase is a Final Sale and any cancellations prior to delivery or pick up carries a 25% re-stocking fee. This information was not mentioned on the website page. And this may be a huge turn off for many consumers. For example, if I was purchasing appliances for my home; these restrictions would be a red flag for me. But then again, that is just me. But if you are looking for no hassle returns, or precision delivery schedules like Costco or Best Buy etc.....then you may be disappointed. Maybe I said....

I have to admit that I am extremely pleased with the service, experience and professionalism that I received from Mark. After trolling through the classifieds, I was unable to find any reviews on the companies listed on Kijii etc. I never feel comfortable about dealing with any company or service that has no reviews. So I turned to Homestars and I found Mark at Baydoun Appliances. They are actually servicing the West end of the GTA ( Mississauga in my case here ). This is important because I found that many companies listed on Homestars clearly state that they only service Toronto but not Mississauga, Brampton or Oakville etc. No worries, I kept scrolling down the listings until I found Baydoun Appliances which services in my area and I made a the call. Mark answered right away and he was able to accommodate my schedule ( next day installation at 4PM ). He quoted me $100 for the installation. Mark showed up on time and he was done within 30mins !!! What a professional. He even found a fire hazard because the previous homeowner did not install a proper junction box for my old cooktop !!! I am lucky that the house never caught on fire. So Mark who is a certified.accredited electrician completed the proper installation to ensure that everything done according to code. Thank Goodness !!! It is the best $100 that I have ever spent. I am happy to have met Mark as I am happy to contact him for any repairs/installation etc. for all appliances in the future. And I will definitely recommend Mark to anyone. It was a A+++ experience all the way.

I was referred to Brian regarding the Group Buy on RedFlagDeals. After having spoken to many AC companies on the phone and at the National Home Show. Everyone told that I needed a 3 ton AC unit based on the square footage of my house. But Brian actually took the time to qualify me and ask me what my expectations were for my ideal home temperature during the hottest days of the summer. After this conversation, he recommended that I go with a 3.5 ton AC unit based on my requirements. This was totally refreshing to see as I was expecting the classic "Cookie Cutter" sales pitch. Brian even recommended a 5 inch media filter because he discovered during our conversation that my wife has bad allergies. The installation went very well. Paul and Demetri were both courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Afer my AC install, I had a question regarding the Lennox XC14 and my HRV VanEE unit and Brian called me back right away and he helped me solve the issue. All in all, I am very impressed with Brian and his team from the beginning to the end.

I found that many of the new households in my neighbourhood have used the services provided by Rocky Home Improvements. So I contacted Rocky and he was quick to respond to my questions and he invited me over to his home office for a quick meet and greet. I found Rocky to quite professional and courteous and he is very generous with his time. The work was done very quickly and the installers did an amazing job with our double front doors and transom. It looks fabulous. The Home security installer was equally as professional and his work is exemplary. I give Rocky Home Improvements 2 Thumbs Up !!!

Spoke with Rocky and he invited me over to his home office to view some more samples. The price is more than fair. The doors along with the transom were done yesterday and the work is done very well and professionally. The installers were punctual and courteous and the product looks amazing.
