I had used the Great Plumbing Co.'s services last year, and was very impressed by Jeff's level of knowledge, his ability to explain issues and steps for resolution, and all at a very reasonable rate. So when I needed work done this year to replace my main water shut-off valve, the Great Plumbing Co. was the only plumber I considered. Jeff came in again to examine pipes and my water shut-off. He noted it was the original shut-off for my house, made of lead, and that the city-side pipes were lead as well. He recommended going through the city to replace everything at once, explained the steps to take, and gave me the full idea of process to repair. This again was at a very reasonable rate. I really appreciated his honesty, and his recommendation for saving myself time and money. There are likely less reputable plumbers out there that would talk to the lead issue and do the repair themselves, but then leave out the ramifications of just replacing the house's water shutoff without the city-side pipes being replaced. This cost me the price of an on-site visit, gave me the information to resolve as best as possible, and honestly, gave me as much confidence I had previously to work with the Great Plumbing Company again in the future. As someone who is definitely not a plumbing expert, it is really comforting to know you can talk to someone and feel they're giving you the full picture, the range of solutions, and that they are doing this through open and honest communication. I really enjoyed working with Jeff and his company, and have tagged him in my contacts list as 'Trusted Tradesman'. The Great Plumbing Company will be the plumbers I call first in the future, and would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

I called the Great Plumbing Company, and their admin answered quickly. She was friendly, and set up an appointment quickly for me within a three hour window. The plumber, Jeff, showed up, and explained the work that needed to be done and how much it would cost. He worked quickly and professionally, and when he went to shut off the home's main water, he noted it could use replacing over the next year or two, since it was original to the house (which was built in the 1920s) and it was very difficult to turn off. There was no pressure from him to fix it at that point, but he wrote up a clear estimate for it. I'd definitely recommend the company: great communication, on time, and work was done well.

I called Marjan at On Time Contracting, as I had used him in the past for renovations to a house I had moved into, and trusted his work. I recently had a flood in my rental unit's basement, and wanted to ensure work was done as well and as quickly as possible so my tenants could move back in ASAP. Marjan came, and quickly assessed what needed to be done. He also provided suggestions on materials, and was very good at explaining the pros and cons of different types of flooring. He also gave me a timeline, which was aggressive, but reasonable, to finish all the work needing done. He came in on time and on budget, and communicated with me regularly during the work period. I was incredibly impressed with not only the work that was done, but the level of communication and straightforward conversation with him. I'd recommend him to family and friends without hesitation!

I found A&A Masonry on HomeStars, and Greg came to my property to take a look at some minor preventative repairs I needed. He was friendly, professional, gave good advice, and pointed out a couple of areas that could use work that I missed, but immediately agreed with his assessment. Dwight came to do the repairs after that, and was prompt, quick, and did a great job. The downside was that his repairs looked better than some of the original spots! Obviously, that's not a downside: it was a job well done, and I'd call A&A again in the future.

I recently bought a house, and had no idea whether ducts had been cleaned recently or not, so I checked out Homestars and found good reviews for CanaDuct. Definitely accurate. Paul and Adrian showed up early, and went straight to work. I had a few questions for them, which they were able to answer for me on a level I could understand. They both offered honest advice about the frequency of getting furnace/AC cleaning done, walked me through cleaning my filter every three months, and fixed a duct issue I had. Definite improvement in air flow after they were done. Absolutely would recommend.
