Grumpy

I had my property reroofed by another company. The former decided to retire (as so many are now). I called Parker Johnston about the problem and was advised it would be $165 plus taxes to send someone out to look the job over, then it would cost additional to get the work done. I asked them to send out someone who could solve the problem while they were on site. I don't want to pay extra for a small job. An employee attended and advised my tenant what the roof was not leaking, it was condensation in the attic. Ok, fine. I would have expected that PJ would have gotten in touch with me at the time and advised what the problem was. I did eventually received the information at a note on my invoice two weeks later. Not the best service.

The warranty on this roof is 50 years on product, 15 years on labour. I paid a premium price for this roof. Roof was installed September 2014. In October 2020 we noticed puddles on the basement floor when it rained hard. In January 2021 we determined there was daylight coming through at the stacks on the roof. I phoned and was promised they would come by later that day or next day. No one showed in the following week. I phoned 3 more times, no replies, no shows. I went up onto the roof myself and found one of the stack covers was cracked on the flat, the second was cracked on the flat and the top had broker off and fallen in. I repaired the cracks myself with roofing tar. I won't call these guys again.
