My sister and I have moved over five times in the last 20 years and have always had problems with whoever we hired. On the recommendation of a friend I went to HomeStars and checked out a number of companies, read the reviews and contacted them for a quote. In the end we went with Rent-a-Son and have never been happier. Three men showed up for my move on time and took complete control, carefully wrapping all furniture that required it, and moving everything into the truck in record time, always smiling and cheerful. Unloading at the other end went just as smoothly. I couldn't believe how stress-free the day was. My sister was so impressed that she called and asked if the same crew could do her move two days later. I'm not planning on moving anytime soon, but will definitely call Rent-a-Son without hesitation.

I needed all floors, surfaces and inside cupboards sanitized prior to moving into a 1-bedroom apartment. I had to redo everything because cupboard shelves were still sticky and coated with dirt and floors were streaked with dirt and black hairs. Every day I find something else that hasn't been cleaned. I had specifically asked to have the vertical blinds washed and now see that they were not. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE IF YOU WANT ANYTHING CLEANED. I have just read the company's response and it is full of untruths. The only debris they picked up was a few sheets of kraft paper that were taped around the bathroom to protect surfaces when the tub was being refinished. The paper fit into one small plastic grocery bag. Otherwise, the apartment was totally empty. I never asked them to hang drapes because there were vertical blinds in both bedroom and living/dining room. As well, they have never called me since they left the apartment, so I could never have hung up on them. The bottom line is they did not do what they were paid to do.

We were very upset to read this review. This client had a lot of extra
requests for us on top of the cleaning and we were very accommodating. We removed a lot of debris and drop cloths left by the
landlord, also did some small jobs such as hanging drapes. We did go over time due to these requests and unfortunately when this client asked us to install lining in the cupboards for her we had simply run out of time and had to go to our next job. We did offer to come back another day, but at our last communication this client was very upset and hung up on us. Before this issue with the lining this client was very pleased with our work and we are sorry it seems to have tainted her experience with our company. We wish her all the best and hope she understands our position."
