My microwave door did not lock so Top Tech Appliance Service came in to fix it. They replied to message quickly, did the job in a tidy and clean manner, tested several times, provided guidance on how to avoid the issue again.

I generally like the stuff they have but have bought two sofas from them over the years. The first was fabric. The way they make them, the seats are attached so hard to clean and when it wears, you can't really flip the cushion. It will pull so you may have tears near the seam. I upgraded to a leather one thinking that would be better. Nope. Same experience. All in all, if you do like the design, then it's comparable prices to other places for that level of quality. I would like quicker shipment tho. 8 weeks is a long time.

I had received quotes from about 5 companies. This company I checked and did not have a BBB compliant and the sales person seemed like he would be on the ball and kept providing info. We agreed to a price. Then I was told it would be more as they packed. Fine. The final price was about the higher quotes I had and I had no choice as I was moving. Buyer beware when you are at the mercy of movers on the day you move. Then when I get them to my new place, some were damaged and others just lost. Lost? How do you lose boxes in transit? I was told and given two options for insurance, and have been trying to get my money back for months. Buyer beware. Re the move part, they were OK. Re the customer support and follow-up, FAIL.

I've had Eric come in over the past 10 years several times. Each time he was prompt with a call back, scheduled the time, and called before coming. He services the entire condo as well as other condos. He makes suggestions and has carpets, etc... to make sure the place is clean while he does his work. I totally would suggest Eric at Mayne for your HVAC related work.

I was renting a condo unit and the tenant complained that the water was not draining. I was worried that this could lead to a bigger problem. I called several places and settled with WaterWorks because of the number of reviews and their awards (altho from a recent experience, awards do not matter as much as feedback from others). Waterworks were prompt in scheduling, their repair person knew what he had to do... asking which category of work I needed as I could choose plastic or metal. As it's a rental property, any savings is good savings. They followed-up afterwards even. So, all in all, despite needing their help, it was a quick and good experience. I'd recommend them to anyone.

I was in a very high rush (i.e. next 7 days please) to complete the plastering and painting within my condo. I needed it done asap as my tenant was moving out and I needed to have it ready to show for viewings. I was at first on the fence as Euromaster wasn't number 1 or on page 1 of the search listings, but I can honestly say I am happy I went with them. Peter from Euromaster was prompt in returning my email inquiry. Knew what to ask, and was 100% certain without seeing the site what the price range would be. I had emailed others and the price range was incredible. Peter know what the work would entail, how many men he needed onsite, and knew how long it would take to do the job. I had my doubts as several places said it would take longer, and they were only offering 2 additional men to do the work. Peter had 3 people onsite and the job was done ahead of when we first discussed it. When I met Peter onsite, his quote remained the same, he knew what paint colour to use without using his swatch. ...altho he did confirm it was right. 3 days later, the job was done and I am ahead of schedule to show the place for viewings Peter's crew were clean, and they cleaned up after the job was done. What is best about the experience besides the stress of getting this all done so I could show the place to renters for the weekend, was that unlike other people I have worked with, they were open to doing whatever was required and were polite about it. I had a list of things, and Peter marked it down on the contract so it was clear, and they just went and did them all. No pressure or push back from them at all. I'm quite happy with their work and definitely would recommend them. They are definitely good value for the work they provide.

Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
- allow more time - assess what you need done and always remember the 3 constraints: time, budget, and resources (contractor). You usually can have 2 out of 3, so decide which one you can forego.
