Our house is old (main part built in the 1880s), with an addition added to the house in the late 1970s. At that time, the foundation had parging applied to it. Not surprisingly, we were facing a situation today where the parging was cracking and pulling away from the foundation in a number of places. When I listed our job to Homestars (after hours), Jessy from OneStop Excavating replied right away, and arranged a site visit the next day. He carefully evaluated what needed to be done, and took measurements of all the areas that required parging. Within a few hours, he emailed me with a detailed estimate. I obtained an estimate from one other company, but was not impressed with their approach nor their quote and called Jessy to give him the go-ahead to proceed. Jessy impressed me on a number of levels. I appreciated that he did not apply any high-pressure sales approach, and that he was very straightforward and clear in explaining what needed to be done and how he would do it. The work itself is excellent. His estimate was priced reasonably. He and his assistant were professional, polite and prompt. All in all, I am delighted with the work. I highly recommend Jessy and OneStop Excavating.

In the pandemic, just about anything that you want to do is frustrating or even impossible. Working with Ali from RAD Electric to update my house’s electrical service from 100 Amps to 200 Amps was entirely the opposite. Everything was perfect and could not be better. Ali impressed me in a number of ways. Our house was built in the 1880s so it has some charming but challenging features. We discussed the job by email first and then he came to check out the site so that he would be well prepared for the work that needed to be done. This preplanning made me very comfortable that we selected RAD. He took care of all the coordination with Toronto Hydro and the ESA for the power shut off, inspection and power on. The day before the power was going to be shut off, Ali came by our to do some preparatory work outside. The day of the job went perfectly. The power went off at 7 AM, Ali installed the new panel and by just after noon, the upgrade work had been approved by the ESA. The worksite was left tidy and now we have 200 Amp service for our house. It doesn’t get any better than that. Later this year, I want to hire RAD Electric again to do some further improvements to our electrical system (some new outlets, replacing ungrounded outlets with grounded outlets, etc.). I heartily recommend Ali and RAD Electric.

Our 35 year old Eaton's Viking gas dryer stopped working and we needed a replacement. I wanted the Maytag commercial gas dryer but because of pandemic supply chain problems, no one had this dryer on hand. The CAS sales person recommended the equivalent electric dryer. I had that delivered to me the next day and the old one taken away.

We had a gas dryer that quit working. We decided to replace it with an electric dryer. But to do so, we had to get the old dryer disconnected from the gas line. I contacted George late on a Monday and he was at my house to do the work the next day. He was prompt, polite and professional. I highly recommend this company.

On the Sunday of the Victoria Day weekend, my 50+ year old laundry faucet gave up the ghost. I was worried that if I turned on the hot water, I would not be able to turn it off. So I put in a request to HomeStars and within a couple of minutes got a call from Gold Medal Plumbing. In under an hour after that, the plumber was replacing my faucet with one that I had bought off of Amazon. The plumber did a nice job. He was properly masked. Very easy to deal with. I'm totally satisfied.

My house is 180 years old and I've owned it since 1985. Over the past 28 years, plumbing jobs have accumulated but I never got to them. I did my own repairs (not very good) and put up with some stuff that was less than perfect. I had Valentin come to bring stuff up to a good standard. He did a great job. If I had to highlight one or two things that stand out in his work I would have to say it is how careful a worker he is and how neat his work is. He also worked very quickly -- there was a lot of work to do. I could not be more happy with the job that he did. I would recommend him to anyone. I should also mention that he was very clear in providing an estimate and looked for the most economical solutions to the plumbing problems I had.

We are completely satisfied with the work and we'd have no hesitation in recommending Luc's Roofing to any of our friends or associates.  All the work met and exceeded our expectations.  We also appreciate the advice Ben gave us on shingle selection and on the use of cedar for the bay window area.  It all looks terrific.
