This is the first time Tip Top Trough cleaned the eavestroughs in the fall, mid-December; they’ve done good work for us in the spring the last two years. The company is quick to respond, explains the work that will be done, and the crew arrived on the day and time as promised. Although we offered to turn on the outdoor water for them (our hoses were still available), they declined, so the troughs were not washed out. Thus the total cost seems a little high when compared to the full service that we received in the spring of 2021. All detritus was put in leaf bags: When we emptied the leaves into our home composter, we discovered that the men had put their fast-food cartons in with what should be organic material only.

We were impressed with all of our interactions with Euro Star, from choosing and ordering the doors via Igor, to the meticulous on-site work by Danny and his associate, and the excellent response by Danny and Alex to a minor glitch discovered after the doors had been installed. (The manufacturer had omitted a portion of the screen latch; Danny informed Alex; Alex came over and installed the missing piece the same day we called.) Danny also identified the source of our decades-long problem of water coming in at the basement ceiling and running down the wall during heavy rainstorms: In '94 when the patio doors were first installed, the contractor slanted the concrete stoop *towards the house*, and his caulking was insufficient to repel the water that spilled over the gutter and splashed onto the stoop during torrential rainstorms. (The eavestrough and downspout specialists we had in a few years ago failed to identify this error, and needless to say, their 'solution' did not solve the problem of water coming in.) Danny not only corrected the true of the door frame, he ensured that the caulking was absolutely thorough. (It looks terrific too.) No water has come in during subsequent rainstorms. He also wasn't satisfied until the doors were running perfectly smoothly and easily; they now open and close with fingertips, whereas previously both hands and considerable oomph was required to get them open. We have no hesitation in highly recommending Euro Star Windows and Doors.

This is a good company to work with. Maaz responded promptly to enquiries, and clearly outlined what the work entailed and who would be doing it and when. We were impressed that he held to the commitment he made for the timeline of the work. Jamie, who came onsite twice to take the measurements, was excellent to work with also. We have no hesitation in recommending Genesis to anyone who wants to have a property survey done.

Nico carefully examined the problematic areas and clearly explained how and why water was coming in to the basement, and how Aquatech would resolve the issues. Aquatech’s estimate was comparable to that of the two other companies we spoke with. Slava supervised the work on the day, and explained and resolved a few little underground surprises that were not revealed until the excavation was complete. The two workmen protected the surrounding areas with tarps and cleaned up meticulously afterwards. Slava also graciously exchanged the window well when we changed our minds about its size, and ensured that its installation paralleled our brickwork. All in all, we are very pleased with the results: no leakage into the basement following the most recent rainstorm.

The Tip Top Trough site is easy to navigate. The company responded immediately to our request for an estimate, booked the work promptly, and arrived when they said they would. They provided in advance a clear, specific outline of the work that would be done, along with costs. The men who did the work that day were on time, careful, and ensured that the eaves and downspouts were completely cleared. When an extra cost was entailed, owing to a totally blocked downspout, the company representative immediately got in touch with us to explain the extra charge before this work began. The workmen dismantled the blocked downspout, cleared it, put it back together again, and reattached it perfectly, without making a mess or damaging any of the plants in the garden. We would recommend Tip Top Trough to anyone and plan to use their services every spring and fall.
