David - Etobicoke

Rob recently completed a kitchen renovation for us at our home in Etobicoke. Rob’s work is excellent and greatly admired as people drop by. He is resourceful, timely about getting things done and well organized. For us, this project included installing and modifying cabinets from a big box store, installation of ceramic tiles, backsplash and some minor wall repairs. Rob also has good contacts for supply of materials with good price and selection. No surprises and all within our overall budget and timeframe.

Here’s my 2011 experience with SpringMasters – my review and rating. In 2010, SpringMasters came by the door and provided lawn aeration at my home in Toronto. In early March of 2011, being a target for repeat business, I received a telephone call from SpringMasters offering me lawn aeration for the Spring of 2011 at a good rate if I paid by credit card in advance. I agreed, gave my credit card info and my credit card was charged the next day at the agreed amount. The aeration was done on April 3. As I was not home at the time, my wife paid the higher regular amount when presented an invoice at the door. So we have paid twice for the same work. This would seem to be a minor mix-up, easily resolved. On April 4, I spoke to the SpringMasters head office in Ottawa (the only contact provided on the invoice presented at the door). The person I spoke with seemed to agree this was a problem and that it would be looked into. Receiving no refund or other response, I again contacted SpringMasters on May 11. The person I spoke with seemed to agree this was problem and that it would be looked into. Receiving no refund or other response, I again contacted SpringMasters on July 25. The person I spoke with seemed to agree this was problem and that it would be looked into. As of August 30, over 120 days later, there is still no resolution nor response to this problem. Based on this experience, I can only recommend that you do not do business with SpringMasters. David Toronto

A while ago, the blower motor in our central air conditioner burned out. Albion tried to save it, but it was beyond repair. Replacing major parts on a 20 plus year old furnace made no sense, so Albion helped us selcet a new furnace and AC package. Runs quietly, saves on the gas bill and has been completly reliable. Of course, if you can manage it, have your furnace break down in the off season - best time to bargain!

Rona was very easy to deal with, for selection, supply and installation of picture and awning windows and porch door on sunroom. Final cost turned out to less than the first estimate. Great job!

We first came across Kingsway through a referral from a friend. They provided and installed California shutters for us a few years ago, and now carpet. We were again favourably impressed by George and Maria who helped us make our selection, and also the installers who came as scheduled, worked quickly and neatly for a very nice installation. We especially appreciate that George when he came to take measurements did not try to upsell us, instead actively encouraged us to consider additional carpet only after we completed the first installation and could see the results.
