We didn't really need new windows lol. But we did need a new blind and we were looking for a room darketing solution for sleeping as our southeast facing bedroom gets very bright very early. Previously we had blinds plus thermal curtains but light was always a challenge. We visited the showroom to see how the 'magic window blinds' worked and purchased a casement with hideaway screen, thermal blind (room darkening) and also solar/UV blind for our bedroom. As well as a sliding window for our master bathroom with same blind setup. We are super pleased with the outcome. We now see that while we didn't think there was any problem with our old 'window', these new Magic Windows have been well worth the investment as its solved not only our blind challenge but has given us a whole lot more ways to enjoy our windows. The difference in light with blinds open and without a screen is quite surprising! But the flexibility of having the two blinds is awesome. We have WAY less of a 'cold around the window' factor with both blinds closed (in winter) vs our old window plus blind and thermal curtain setup. With the exception of a little light coming through pinhole sized spots in the hardware, the thermal blind pretty much gives a pitch black sleeping environment - would be excellent if you were a shift worker for sure!! For us it just means on weekends we can easily sleep till 9, 10 or later without being woken up by the rising sun! But the flexibility of the solar/UV blind is also awesome since it allows us to still see out and lets light in, but blocks the view from outside if you need privacy in the day, especially great for a bathroom. Also looking forward to using the solar/UV blind in summer to reduce some of the summer heat we get in this room from sun. Although its still winter and we haven't had the opportunity to have the windows open, the way these windows work is so awesome and we are definitely looking forward to using them in the warmer weather and being able to clean them so easily too!

Dodds installed a new garage door for my mom. We previously had them install a new door about 7 years ago at our house which still looks and works like brand new. Same great product, same great service. May be more expensive than big box but definitely a case of you get what you pay for. Excellent overall experience second time around, just like the first!
