Resubmitted from 2018: couldn't have asked for more. Called...had an immediate reply. Showed next day for quote. Installation as expected and price was fantastic and included a beautiful sink for extra $200. The only thing I didn't realize is that there would be a seam...wish I had been forewarned. Nevertheless, I'm a happy new kitchen owner! I will and already have recommended SlabX!

Resubmitted from 2018: I absolutely cannot say enough about Bohdan and Leo's work. I had first contacted them 2 years ago but then postponed my reno due to my indecision. This time around, I provided a copy of my plan, they quoted and we scheduled a date for install. They came as scheduled, work was done within the time and price quoted and was a work of perfection! Prior to install, Bohdan measured the area to ensure all was accurate as per the plan. He was quick to point out an area was 5/8" off and would leave a slight overhang in one area. He gave me options but I decided to stay with the original plan. Two days later when the job was finished, the area in question was 5/8" off as he had said! Remarkable precision!!! They were also helpful in suggesting two last minute changes to the original plan and off to IKEA I went with the list they gave me. They were so right! When finished, our garage (work are for cutting) was left spotless. I'm not ashamed to say I cried like a baby in my kitchen after they drove away, overwhelmed with an outcome that was exactly my vision and grateful for their help and care. If you are looking for anyone to install, DO NOT HESITATE for a minute to call them. You will have peace of mind. They are no-nonsense and committed to excellence! Resubmitted from 2017: This is way overdue.. I found Franmac/Decks r Us on Homestars. The reviews were so great and they were in our neighbourhood. Frank was immediately responsive and came to our home within 24 hrs. Very personable, knowledgeable, and PATIENT. We had an idea of what we wanted and Frank helped us to work through and made suggestions. We ended up doing 3 projects - one after the other. .By the time we were finished, Frank and his team felt like family. There was a 4th project (Kitchen) but I needed a break so that was postponed but will start again soon. (Frank, I'll be calling). RELIABLE and DEPENDABLE- YES. You need not worry. Every morning at 6:30..team waiting patiently in the driveway for our lights to go on! QUALITY of WORK: YES - Frank oversees his crew. He's very particular and is sure to brief his team every morning and then checks in throughout the day to ensure the work is progressing as planned. We started with a new fence. Wow... a little creativity went a long way! Then the Deck: We had our first summer on our new deck....My FAVOURITE place!! It was exactly what we wanted..contemporary, visually impressive, inviting, lots of room for entertaining. Our home is somewhat high from the ground (but not a walk out). We wanted it to be flush walk out from the kitchen. DONE. Large storage area beneath. Only disappointment is that the rain/snow will go through the boards so everything underneath isn't protected. We should have laid a sheet or some kind of material before laying down the floor planks. The Master Bathroom is a showpiece. Frank's idea to do a "feature wall" is the hand's down showstopper. The basement was raw...now is lovely with a good size finished storage room, a bedroom, and full bathroom. Another "wow" factor was the creative use of the space under the stairs. Shelves..use for books or display. And BEHIND the book shelves (still under the stairs) there is a pull out wall for storage. Brilliant. The team cleaned up after themselves daily. Frank took care of all trash removal AND even pick up of new bathroom toilet, bathtub.. Our hardest job was just figuring out and telling him what we wanted. Frank took care of everything, plumber, electrician, permits with the City and arranged all electrical inspections after the work was done to ensure to code. A sincere thank you for making this renovation as painless as possible. Rudy and Donna Quinonez - PIckering Update July 2021: I LOVE our deck. Highly recommend Skylark Tree Care!! The most professional and courteous team came to my place today to give my two 10 year old trees a little TLC with a good prune. One of my trees was completely strangled by the neighbour’s vicious vine but after a lot of effort they managed to free the tree and save it! I actually teared up a little when I saw it. Price was extremely competitive! And after they left and cleaned up it looked better than before they arrived! Thanks again to Bryan, Matt, Caleb & Rob. And thanks to Gaelan who came to provide the initial consultation and Gillian in the office who was on top of everything and so organized with the email updates and confirmations. Was so impressed (and no I’m not a friend or relative and not paid to do this review... but you’d think..

Clearly I’m an anomaly with this poor review. I referred this company to my mom based on the amazing reviews. She contacted their office June 16th and was told they couldn’t visit/quote for 2 weeks. Not a problem and an appointment was booked for June 30 between 4:30-7:30. And so it began…. A reminder email was received that morning confirming her appointment for a different day. Mom emailed back to clarify and they apologized for the error and did indeed confirm June 30. We waited. No one showed. This morning (July 1) she emailed them to advise of the no show. Email response: “Hello, My apologies Michael stopped by yesterday evening, as it’s lawn cutting and garden maintenance he does not need to view the property so he continued to the next quote, you will likely receive a proposal today for your property. If you have any questions or concerns please, Feel free to call or email at anytime. Check out our website for more details.” Thank you, Michael Durham Landscaping Hm. So he doesn’t need to view the property because it’s for lawn cutting and garden maintenance??? Anyone else think that’s odd? And he stopped by BUT doesn’t need to view the property. So why stop by? Why did we wait for almost 3 hours? And how does one reasonably & accurately quote services without a “need to view the property…”. (Numerous shrubs in back yard). Not to mention no opportunity to discuss the services required? Nevertheless, she waited for the email quote. Quote was received today with a different client’s name and address. Michael Durham Landscaping: This experience sure doesn’t seem on brand based on your company’s reviews. So very disappointed. **update** thank you MDL for the fast response. Totally understand training new staff and the bumps along the way. Star rating “upped” to reflect responsiveness to this review. Yes, please email the correct quote and I’ll let her know. July 13: Another update: quote not yet received..

Apologies as we are still in the training process for our new office admin, I visited the property and read what was required upon arrival, I did provide a proposal as your mom has the same first name as another customer the wrong proposal was sent, at which point we received an email:
Omg – this proposal is definitely not for me as we have never met. It is for another Yvonne at ************ in Whitby dated March 30, 2021. Based on the no show yesterday and now sending me someone else’s quote I am withdrawing my request, would you still like the proposal that was written up? Or still not send the proposal? We do try our best to have every team member up to par and apologize that you are deeply disappointed, please let me know if you'd like the proposal, thank you!

July 15 update: Hello Donna, I have sent your mother our lawn cutting proposal today. Please respond via email if you are still interested in receiving our lawn mowing services. Thank you for your understanding and patience during these times and apologies again for the mistake on our part.

I cannot say enough positive about Marlenis. Punctual, thorough, pride in work and all around lovely lady. We trust her to take care of our home and best part is walking in when she has finished... the fresh smell lingers for days. We miss her between visits! Thank you Marlenis.
