Weve been pleasantly reminded that we owe a note of gratitude to the Barone brothers and their paving family at West York. Joe, Frank and company did an incredible job on our 2600 sq. feet of lengthy, contoured driveway, which began with a careful, successful demolition in July 21 followed by a practically perfect final paving on a beautiful autumn day in Oct. 21 Each and every man on site had a task and knew exactly what and how to accomplish their mission, led by brother Franks expert eye & touch. And, when brother Joe arrived later, there was no hanging around just supervising the job site - he jumped right in and on the machinery to help expedite this large project which were pleased to say went beautifully and scaled toward a well laid swale & dry creek for proper drainage. Unbelievable effort, and so professionally done, by all. So, if and when you see those clean, bright cherry red & yellow trucks in your area, believe it. Theyre just that careful. Youll be in very capable hands. Thanks again, everyone. B & P Weston

As for most, 2020 is a year we’d like to trash.. ..and start it all over again. Challenges have been many, but we’ve adapted nicely. And, despite the current heat wave, all was going pretty well - even got a chance to have our daughter & two grandsons visit for Father’s Day - respectfully, at a decent physical distance. By days end, we noticed an odd tone coming out of our A/C unit, even though the system was circulating homes air & dehumidifying, too. After going through some obvious checks, I decided to “reboot” the system by powering off. Upon restart, the controller indicated that it had total communication. But, still a problem with the outdoor unit. So, tried a another, better “reboot”, which included the breaker panel switch. And, after a 5 minute break & a good hosing down of the A/C unit, I “restarted” the system with a better result, but still no effective cooling, just dehumidifying. However, under the circumstances late on a Sunday night, we were grateful for that & our furnace’s blower motor fan circulating the home’s air. It was time to contact High Efficiency, with a “heads up” email to their Senior Service Technician, Jason - who has been of great help to us in the past. Knowing that he lived in our general area, we called him Monday morning in hopes that he might be able to drop by at some point soon in his busy day. Thankfully, head office gave him the green light to visit after concluding the day’s first job. And, he was at our door about an hour later - fully complying with COVID-19 protocol, from start to finish. As always, Jason welcomed my observations, and after a few logical questions he checked out the faltering unit - recognizing quickly the improper sound & performance. He checked the A/C unit’s capacitor - began his tests after pointing out the well worn & altered shape of the capacitor. After a quick trip to his truck he returned with a new capacitor, tested it and replaced it within a few minutes. We were up & running and he had another happy “cool” customer. I’ve heard it said that the strength of a “Brand” is their Customer Service and Jason is obviously an integral player in High Efficiency’s successful story. Added bonus: we got to our granddaughter’s very important 5th birthday party on time in the early afternoon! A happy ending. So, thanks again, Jason. Much appreciated, sir.

Wow! This is by far one of the most inspiring sharing that could go viral in the social media (if you may allow us to spread the words further). Absolutely amazing to have Jason & our Company to be a part of the few better side of your 2020! Just love this! Thank you again for your continued support to us, and happy belated birthday to your sweet 5-yr old granddaughter from all of us! Take care, and all the very best wishes to you all!

During the last few weeks of Winter ‘19 and a pretty good cold snap, we hit a few bumps in the road with our blower motor (according to the Infinity controller malfunction reports). After a few re-boots of our system it became obvious that it was more serious than a hiccup and so we called the good folks at High Efficiency, who as Carrier experts did good work for us, in the past. At that time, Jason & his colleague, Pirba did a nice job listening to and considering our observations - then, began their diagnostics systematically. Everything checked out nicely - the blower motor and the control board, no obvious faults. However, they spotted a “mismatch” in settings between the control circuit board and our Infinity controller/thermostat’s settings. They considered and discussed the potential problem with those settings and then chose to reset it, properly. Conclusion: keep an eye on the blower motor, and maybe that control board - which may misbehave when overheated. So, all done for the time being. And, it ran well.. for a day. But, it was better as we headed out of Winter into Spring, with only a few hiccups, from early March to late June - with only the occasional “blower motor” malfunction. But, nothing a re-boot couldn’t correct. That was until we were into the more serious air conditioning period in late June, when the “blower motor” finally gave out, late on a Friday night. Anyway, long story shorter, after a few emergency emails on Saturday, some phone calls and days without air flow, we were able to nail down a service date to replace the “blower motor” & “control board” to best insure a good result, given the circumstances. And, we chose this route mainly because we weren’t ready to give up on a system that had not yet reached it’s 12th Birthday. The most important thing however, was that Jason understood our concern & frustration with what is still deemed to be a good system. Jay was extremely professional and conscientious during the whole process and was very careful to check & double check the new part positioning and control settings. Bottom line - it’s been the better part of a week now since the repairs to our Carrier, and it’s humming along, nicely doing it’s job - malfunction free. And obviously, we’re hoping that our Carrier system reaches some better milestone birthdays before we finally say goodbye to it. But, until then we have Jason to thank, and the team at High Efficiency Cooling & Heating for their professional service. Hopefully, we won’t need their help again, too soon. Thanks again. We’ve owned our Carrier system since 2007 and were looking for a Carrier specialist to attend to our service needs. We didn’t want a jack of all trades type service. Needed and wanted Carrier experts. We spotted High Efficiency’s ads and the consistently good reviews posted about this heating & a/c group - Carrier experts. So, we gave a call when we had some heating system concerns, last winter. They promptly set us up with an appointment and their technician, Harry visited to consider the issue - right on time. He listened & considered my observations on our valued system, gave a look and zeroed in on the igniter system problem. Before we knew it, he had replaced the parts and checked further for any other related igniter and burner issues. All good. And, he communicated very well helping me understand our system better. In the late spring, we asked for him again - to check the a/c before the seasonal needs and we were assured that all was well. Again, Harry left us with a better understanding about the Carrier unit. As we prepared for this cold weather season, I noticed something was off despite working well enough. Again, Harry considered my thoughts and observations, checked the Infinity controler’s reports and once again zeroed in on the potential first step concern. Bingo! Heat sensor part replaced, system schedule tweaked for optimum performance given the system’s capabilities, and away we go confidently. All at reasonable rates. Would we recommend High Efficiency? If you own a Carrier, absolutely. Thanks, Harry & Bella. Barb & Peter T. Weston, Ont.
