Skedaddle came to my home in 2011 to mouse roof the house. They were incredible. I paid for the service and they provided me with a warrantee. Over the years, we have had renovations and mice with a dee and burning desire to re-enter my home. They chew new holes, find new gaps from rents and happily party in my house once more. At the first scratch, I call for John, the regional manager who did the first job. Happy as ever, he returns to my home, eagerly seeks out the new hole and checks over every nook and cranny, noticing the reins i forgot to inform him of and verifying that everything is secure. He fixes what needs fixing and checks in on the family. He knows us all quite well. mice as persistent as this, John has never seen, but he stands by his warrantee. I would (and have) recommended their service to other mouse houses. The service, the speed response, the attitude of challenge when the hole is to be found - this all speaks to a company that loves what it does, loves and respects animals of all kinds, and will be in business for years to come.

Manotick Windows and Doors performed a reno on my home with the installation of two large and beautiful windows. After being told by every window company I interviewed that I could not transform a bow window into a bay, I was informed that of course I could! And it is gorgeous! The crew used drop cloths and were very courteous. They had enough people to do the job (the bay was huge and heavy) and spent the time required to do it right. I had forgotten to tell them that I have a mouse house, and have paid to have rodents excluded. When John from Skedaddle came by to check for gaps, he happily reported that Manotick Windows and Doors had left no gaps for my determined rodents. I will be returning to the great people at Manotick Windows and Doors for my next project. And to keep trying to buy their buffet and hutch in the office. :)

The Culligan Man arrived in my home mere days after my call to the office. As I live outside the city limits, I am used to waiting a little longer for service appointments. Mick tested my water and checked my old system (not a Culligan), but also tested my filtered water jug with enthusiasm! Even though we had no interest in a reverse osmosis, he was happy to test our filtered water and tell us the results. Obviously, this is a man who enjoys his line of work! He provided us with two different options for the softener, and asked questions relating to our expectations of living in this house. Once we chose our model, he presented incredible financing options options (he had me at 0%!) Less than a week later, josh arrived to complete our installation, explanation, and gift us with free bags of salt. We noticed an immediate difference in the feel of the water and our skin. Even the baby is silkier! Christine, at the office, has stick handled the entire process and done follow up. We have been promised service reminders by email to ensure that, whatever the system needs to stay in perfect shape is done, but we, first time parents of a very active little man, do not have to remember! There is already enough on our minds. Thank you, Culligan Man (and Woman!)

Eric took extra time, returning many times to our home to explain the process, answer questions, measure and ensure all his contractors' machinery would fit through our driveway, which was under construction at the time. Eric also checked with a previous client who opened his home to allow us to see what the system would look like. Eric was always on site when work was being done by his subcontractors (well, electrical etc) and on the phone with me if the was the slightest delay. Even though we took a long time to choose between DX and water based, and new regulations were put in place for drillers, delaying their ability to do the work, Eric worked around the issues and still finished the job as promised - on time and under budget. We have recommended his services to friends in need of maintenance on their existing systems and those considering a new instal. Eric is part of the community and takes immense pride in his work and customer service. His maintenance plan can't be beat, and his response time is incredible. He says he wanted to make sure the baby was warm and comfortable, but I think every customer receives the same impeccable care and concern.

What could this company do to improve their services?
Nothing! Odd, but true. His sales, workmanship and service are top notch. And he answers all of my strange and novice questions.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
If you can't get Eric, talk to different companies and choose the one who answers you truthfully, takes as much time as required to inform you of the options and offers to show you other systems that they have installed locally.
