Hard to deal with

I got water rental plus coverage for maintenance. When I sold my house they charged me extra. They told me they will give me a refund by cheque and have called multiple times. The cheque never arrived. They always call you to upsell plans for you which I doubt will honor the commitment but I am not sure

Plumbing

I am very happy with JIMMY plumbing person who came today nov 25th 2023 evening 6pm to etobicoke to fix the water leakage in our kitchen .he saved us from further problems and fixed permanently by replacing pipe . Thank you JIMMY and reliance home comfort

Dont be decieved by the "Home Comfort"!!

I signed up for Home Comfort thinking Reliance will be there is case there is any issue with my Furnace. During the sign-up process, they did not come to see the condition of the furnace. All they ask to wait for a period if there is no issue within that period, they will cover me for ever as long as I continue to pay the monthly fees.
After two years in December, the time came!! My furnace broke early in the morning (7 am). I t was brutally cold weather. I called Reliance, they said someone will come but not until noon. Eventually someone showed up at 3PM!. Strange part is the technician came with a company! Big RED FLAG. I was told that he is a colleague, he is just going to watch. It was cold outside, so I let him in.
Then technician even did not ask me any question about what happened or what did I see. He start dismantling the furnace and went all the way to the heat exchanger. His goal is to say this heat exchanger is bad and I need new furnace!! He turned off the gas and said, nothing he can do. So I ask for help/suggestion. I was nervous & stressed. It was very cold and I have young kids. Then comes the next surprise!! The colleague came with the technician is actually a SALES GUY!!!. So they came fully prepared and exactly knew what they are going to do even before they saw the furnace or knew anything about it. Then the sales guy gave me a quote of over $5K and told me if I sign now, they can get it done by next day or two otherwise, they cant guarantee. I did not like there approach so far and felt being exploited. So I said, I'll confirm later. Then I call some other places for new furnace and eventually get a very reliable technician though a friend who is offered the exact same furnance with half the price with installation.

So next thing I did is CANCELLED the plan with RELIANCE which I paid for NOTHING and hired the other guys. I am running with the furnace for some time now. Absolutely no problem.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Stay far far away from RELIANACE and save that monthly fee in your own account as emergency fund. So you can buy a new furnace or pay for repair without wasting money with these guys for nothing. Also hire someone to do maintenance once a year.

This is s dishonest company

Very dishonest company. My contract payment was $24.99. My first payment was for $35.93 without notice of change. I asked to cancel the contract which I was told I had to pay out the full contract for the full term. I have called the customer service department many times, spent hours on hold, constantly transferred, getting different information, from everyone I speak to. A truly HORRIBLE experience.
This should not be legal.

HVAC/AC and hot water tank

Freaked out so much with HVAC down last week. Reliance helped me out furnace, heat pump and hotwater tank replacement. All tounout was okay. Now so happy with Reliance's service. A couple of installation guys are awesome! All job happened in two days. Estimating, Auditing for the govetnment rebate and installation included. Thank you for Reliance team.

Reliance Home Comfort Services

My experience with Reliance Home Comfort Services and Rental Equipment has been disappointing. When I initially engaged their services earlier this year, there was a lack of transparency regarding the rental terms, specifically regarding the inclusion of rental amounts on the property title. This information was not adequately communicated during the sign-up process, which led to unexpected discoveries later on.

Furthermore, my interactions with the sales personnel were not entirely satisfactory. There were instances where their sales approach felt pushy. Despite renting four products in March, I have been unable to fully utilize any of the services as intended.

The technicians assigned to address issues with the rented products appeared to lack adequate understanding of the equipment. Additionally, there were attempts to upsell additional products during their visits, which was not aligned with my expectations.

Regrettably, an ongoing issue that has persisted for over four months remains unresolved. Despite assurances, the area manager, who was meant to address these concerns, failed to follow up as promised, leaving me feeling neglected and without a resolution.

In conclusion, my experience with Reliance Home Comfort Services and their rental equipment has been unsatisfactory. I would caution others considering their services to thoroughly assess the terms and reliability of their equipment before entering into any agreements.

Christine was great! She explained everything thoroughly and left I up knowing we are getting an excellent service. Installers team came in on time and did a great job. Highly recommended!

Furnace installation and AC unit

I have never in my life been so beyond disappointed in. I fully entrusted this company. As I had utilized them before, and had a wonderful experience in July 14, 2023 I had a scheduled installation of both AC unit and brand new furnace. I was beyond excited both my current AC unit and furnace were functional. However, I wanted an upgrade. My intentions were to take the current AC unit and furnace and place them in my Airbnb that I am going to build on my property, the first person that arrived on that day was a junior staff. I had a brief discussion with him about my plans to transfer these units. He advised me he would tell senior staff when they arrived. I was upstairs when I heard significant banging, and I inquired as to why there was so much banging , the senior staff then said to me your furnace is no longer functional. I had to terret apart to get it out but dont worry I can transfer it out of your home I was shocked I then said to him these units were to be functional and I advised your Junior staff of this upon his arrival to my home . The junior staff confirm this conversation and apologize for the miscommunication that had occurred as he was outside working on the AC unit at the time and did not inform the senior staff of what I requested. Then the senior staff advises me that prior to his arrival he was aware that the part that allows the furnace to be functional was currently on back order so they installed a unit, knowing it would not work. He then said to me its July, so its warm and the and the part. Should be in within the next couple weeks. I heard nothing August 23 my spouse calls reliance and advise them that we are still currently waiting on a part for installation of our furnace. The representative was kind and sent an individual out to bring the part, which by the way was the same individual that was lacking the part, but install the unit anyways, he placed a part in the unit and advised me it was functional fast forward to November 11. I decide after getting a load of propane to turn on my heat as it has been fairly mild and not necessary for heat at this time. My heat is not working the furnace is not working , we call reliance to advise its getting quite cold and the furnace that has been installed is still not functional. They advise that the earliest somebody can come out is November 12. We are now currently utilizing three heaters to ensure my children remain warm while Im waiting for a tech to fix an issue that should not be occurring at this time, when I call reliance to speak to a representative of all of this neglect that Ive had to deal with he advises me he cannot have a tech come out sooner. He apologizes for the situation and states hes going to escalate my call to someone for Monday. I advised him that I am utilizing three heaters to heat my home currently and that I have children and this is a brand new unit that they anticipate I am going to pay for next August, I have never in my life been so disappointed with any company. My kindness and understanding has been completely taken advantage of with zero resolution. At this point I trusted this company that they would be efficient and they have failed us significantly because I cannot pull their unit as I no longer have a unit that is functional because they broke it , do not use this company to heat your home ever. I do not understand how somebody can install a furnace and because its summertime knowingly not have a part that would make the furnace functional and not contact you back and at this point I will say I sincerely a very unhappy customer

Furnace replacement

I got excellent service, the Advisor came same day as I had called (Oct 31)
and explained the problem and laid out the options available. He had the new furnace and the installers come in next day to replace the old one. They came as promised and worked very hard. They returned the day after that to fix a small wiring problem. All was working smoothly and warmly (Nov 2).

Wonderful.....great job Reliance; you have some terrific people!

Consultation and booking of chlorine filter
