In October 2023 I contacted Reliance for a quote on installing a heat pump. I was informed that the person referring them would receive a $250 referral bonus. That has never happened. The day before our heat pump was to be installed ( after we had signed everything etc. ) We were informed that the heat pump would not work on our existing furnace even though the Sales person had assured us it would. We ended up having to rent a new furnace from them. Our heat pump was installed and within the first week I was contacting them that it wasn't working properly. It took 4 months, hours on the phone, piles of text messages and several email along with treating to report them to the Better Business Bureau and one of their techs coming out and making the heat pump totally inoperational before they finally decided to replace it. During the initial installation, we told the techs we were keeping our existing airconditioner. The techs removed it anyway and the following day told us they weren't able to bring it back to us. After many conversations with a manager, he agreed to compensate for the lose of our airconditioner. That was early December. I never received compensation for it. Another manager assured me he was working on these issues for me, but no one will respond to me and nothing is being done to rectify these problems or to help with all the additional expense with having a heat pump that was working I efficiently or not at all for months. I am extremely dissatisfied with reliance and wish I had never agreed to do business with them.
